Worried and Sad :(

Hiya... Just thought id vent out here, Today was a crappy day and it was pouring... I am getting a bit worried about the weather next week in Paris... I hope it wont be raining this bad.

Just incase, if its raining, what kind of rides can we do without getting soaked? *sigh* This weather is really getting to me and its sommat washing away the excitement...

Fingers crossed 4 all of us going next week, it will be bright and shiny!

wishing you sunshine! but the good news that it rained on many days that I was at DLRP last year.

Most of the areas are built for rain - did you know that you can walk all the way from the entrance plaza to Phantom Manor, for instance, with just a few steps not under cover?

Yes, some rides like BTMRR are a little damp outside, but there is a lot to do undercover!! (But bring your own umbrella - the one I bought there broke after 30 minutes and was very reluctantly replaced by the shop clerk.)

We went on Xmas Day in the FREEZING cold (not the same as rain, I know) but we had a magical day even though we were so cold our fingers were going numb!!

You can ride most of the rides in the rain I think-maybe not Thunder? But we rode it in the freezing wet fog....Pirates, Phantom Manor, Space Mtn, Buzz, all Fantasyland Rides, are inside so you should be ok. I was once at Disneyland in the pouring rain and we just put our ponchos on and rode everything anyway! Just be prepared to be wet! You can still have fun!

Dont worry too much. Disneyland Paris was designed with the weather in mind. Most of the rides are undercover as are the waiting areas where you queue. There is plenty of shelter and two walkways up either side of Main Street when you can sit and have a coffee or just shelter.

Have you checked the forecast yet? When we went i November we had two days of rain. As long as you are prepared with waterproofs and waterproof footwear its not that bad

I am sure it will not rain anyway so no need to worry. Sending some pixie dust It always does the trick

Another thing is am going with my 18 month old baby but hopefully, like I said sun will rise and shine to us next week. I dont want my daughter to catch colds..

I have already bought an umbrella feeling like this and also was planning on buying a poncho from argos incase... or is there any ponchos we can buy from Disney coz I actually fancy one with a disney character. hehe.

Feeling a bit better now... Just turned 26 and Ive never been to any Disney.. so I hope all's gonna be alright.

Lots of the rides are undercover.Covered walkways too, you can get from Main Street to Fantasyland under them.

Take waterproofs and good footwear and you will be fine.

We went in January and I took salopettes and snowboots for the cold and waterproofs for the wet and were lucky enough to need neither.I wish you the same luck we had

See all those happy people in their yellow ponchos?? it was pouring rain and nobody seemed to mind (also, you asked about Disney ponchos - those are the yellow ones with the black DLRP logo - not as fun as at WDW)

Thank you all for wishing us well and for the pixiedust.. feeling better now and im back on my feet planning as its only a few sleeps away till my prince wakes me up and tells me were heading to the castle.. hehe.

Awwwww.. thats really sweet. Thanks for showing me the photos and yep, the castle is as enchanting whether its raining or sunny sunshine.... and seeing those people walk in the rain and still seem to have a great time as they are oblivious with the rain kinda boost my confidence so just hoping baby will be fine... Bought another raincover for her pushchair just incase coz hers isnt the proper one that covers the top.

are the ponchos free or do we have to buy it? Any idea how much?

Hi there,

We are going 6th-10th March, and the weather looks like showers, although the Wednesday may be dry.

our trip is the 16th to the 19th of march we are also hopeing for sunshine but just in case we have bought ponchos to take For us (the 2 adults)and we were planing on getting the children disney ones there , or if the weather forecast looks bad maybe we'll buy theirs before we travel , any idea of the price of them there ?

I can't comment on the price of the ponchos in Euro - hopefully someone else can. At WDW in Florida they are usually around $5-10 and are on all the shop counters at the first sign of rain...
