Hi,

I just read on the UK boards that the motion sensors for the Simpsons ride are exactly the same as for the old BTTF ride.

I only went on BTTF once and came off feeling very dizzy and sickly.

I am able to go on Spidey though and was hoping that the Simpsons would be more like that.

Can anyone help or reassure me that i will be ok ??? and that its not as bad/rough as the old BTTF ride ?

Thanks K

Personally...I don't it's as bad as BTTF was by a long shot. I can not guarantee you won't be affected of course but if you did Spiderman w/o problems, you should be OK for The Simpsons.

I have bad motion sickness but was always alright on BTTF. I went on the Simpsons (mind you I am not a spinny, roller coaster type thrill person) and I felt sort of dizzy and do not want to ride it again.

I personaly think its alot smoother then BTTF!!!!

Its a totally dif ride now, same car, everything has been rethemed for Simpsons tho..

If you can handle Spidy, you will have no problems here :thumbsup2

BTTF made me feel icky as does Star tours. The Simpsons ride didn't bother me.

Star Tours & Body Wars or whatever it's called at WDW made me SO sick. All simulator rides do. However, I wasn't a bit sick on the Simpsons ride. It's very smooth & the video matches up to the movements well.

I thought the Simpsons was very smooth

Here's a little tip and my DH showed it do my DS 5 who was a little freaked out
If your feeling dizzy or funny, turn around and look behind you, you can see the wall and it tells your mind your not moving that much at all~! it worked for my DS:thumbsup2

Yeah I think Spiderman is more intense too! That ride makes me feel dizzy sometimes. Simpsons was fine though.

I'm with you.:thumbsup2

BTTF made the most nauseous of any ride ever -- so I was afraid of the Simpsons too. But, it was great. I did not get sick or dizzy at all. I only rode it once and was so paranoid of getting sick I didn't enjoy it as much as I could of and I look forward to riding it again.

Simpsons made me a little nauseous. Repeated riding of Spiderman makes me nauseous also, as well as Jimmy Neutron.

If you are over 6ft I recommend you sit in the front of the car. Hubby bumped his head pretty hard last time we went.

Great advice about sitting in front row. I'm only 5:10 but felt as if I was being whacked with a club in the back row. No problem in front. I too get queasy on spiderman, but simpsons was a lot smoother ( rode it 5 times in a row with FOTL and was just starting to feel the motion). I rode BTTF once, thought the ride would never end.:goodvibes

Thanks for the info, so do you think I would be best asking to sit at the front of the ride ?

I think The Simpsons Ride is really smooth as well. Being in the front row may help you since you won't see a row of people bobbing around in front of you.

The cars have two rows of seats that hold up to 4 people. You will be put in a pre-show room with a max of 8 people. Be sure to stand close to the door to the ride area so you can go for the front row of the car when the door is opened. There is no one to ask if you can sit in the front row. It's every person for themselves. So just stand by the door and walk to the front row. The car loads from both the left and right sides of the car so keep that in mind if everyone goes a certain way, go the opposite.

Be sure to let your party know your plan to snag front row seats as well. We did that. We had a part of 4 adults. 2 went right, 2 went left and we snagged the front row for the 4 of us.
