Worried about our MM and birthday entry...help!

I'm a little worried about this. We have the So. Cal City Pass. We are planning to do MM on our first Disney day. I understand that for entry we just swipe our card and then we are given a ticket. How does this work if we want to do MM that day? The park opens at 9 and I want to get us there by 8:30. Is that enough time to get everything sorted out?

Also I did not buy DD a City Pass because she turns three halfway through our trip. I am planning to buy a 3 day hopper for her but her birthday is the first day we will be at Disney. So do we just enter the park, do our magic morning stuff, and then go to City Hall to get her birthday fun card and buttons? Who do I show her birthday voucher to?

I was thinking it's best to get a 3 day hopper for her vs. a 2 day hopper because the difference between the two tickets is only $26. If she has a 3 day hopper she will be issued a $59 gift card. Does this sound right?

You can do it this way. This allows you to make the most of the MM and get her Fun Card later. You MUST get it on her birthday. She doesn't have to spend it on her birthday. If by "voucher" you mean, the e-mail, you can show that to the CMs at City Hall (along with proof of her birthday).

I don't know much about the So. Cal pass or MM's so I will let others address that part of your question.
