worried about Hurricane Ike

We leave Saturday morning for a 10 day trip. Right now they say Miami, then North, up the east coast. I'm hoping for staying in the ocean, so as we can enjoy our trip, not be trapped in a hotel room.

The National Hurricane Website is predicting the hurricane will hit Tuesday evening in Southern Florida. I know this is too soon but........

I don't know what to do.

PLEASE PLEASE go away hurricane and leave the US alone

I'm a bit concerned as well. I'm going in to the hospital for surgery on Wednesday and will probably be in for 2 days. If Ike hits Long Island, my husband will lose his mind: 3 kids and a dog with the possibility of no power, all by himself... it's NOT going to be pretty!!!!

I hope you have a great trip!!! I hope the current models stick, it has been looking better and better, now I'm finally getting excited about my trip!!! Hopefully I can stay that way instead of the emotional roller coaster I have been on the past few days!!

I just wish all of the hurricanes would go away! Whenever there is a hurricane I am glued to the tv watching The Weather Channel.

While it looks like Ike may not hit FL, us in LA are getting a little concerned. We are just now getting power back from Gustav and there are other areas that are still without power. Our parish was 100% without power the day after Gustav hit. The damage here is still horrible. The last thing we need is another hurricane. We are supposed to be flying out Thursday, so we will be glued to the news about Ike!!!

Last I checked Key West and Pensacola were still part of Florida.

HI!! Can I ask are you in Ascension parish?? My family and I are too and we are leaving Tuesday AM for WDW and flying back on Saturday PM. We are worried about flying back in!! But the DH says we will risk it!!
