Hi Everybody,

I have booked a week at Windsor Hills in April. I have been holding off booking a flight in hopes of them dropping in price. We are planning on flying out of Buffalo. Is there any trick to finding a good price, and what is the cheapest I can hope for?

I tried downloading the Ding thing from Southwest, but I couldn't make any sense of it. Any other places to try? How does Priceling work?

Thanks:confused:

You could probably get $59 USF one-way via Southwest right now. I got that price for March Break. S

We held off buying our flight tickets until 4 weeks before our trip, and it worked out fine (but we're travelling at a relatively slow time of the year). If you have someone around who can help you set up Ding, I think that would be your best bet.

Depending on the dates of your travel, there are $59.00/EA Way currently available from CO and DL. We just took the last two MCO-BUF for APR 23.

What dates are you looking for and I can peak for you. The Spring Break time frame is fairly sold out on Southwest for the cheaper fares.

Cheers,

Steve

I am booked for April 21-28. I'm not seeing anything lower that $112 USD, which is fune, but I've been told I can do much better.

If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be great.

I am seeing the $59 fares from Continental on these dates. The total, taxes in round trip is US$162 BUF -> MCO RT.

Try farecompare.com and/or http://matrix.itasoftware.com/cvg/dispatch. Then go back to the continental or other airline website and duplicate your findings. Sometimes it it cheaper... other times more expensive.

We are flying out of detroit April 16...at $ 49 one way. It worked out to $404 USD for 3 of us return!

Okay... I'm jealous of the prices that you Eastern Canadians can get...

Right now my best friend and I are looking at prices of $434 return in September, and that's the best deal I've seen yet! ... I guess that's the price you pay for having to fly an extra few thousand kilometres! :goodvibes

DW and I got flights from here, connecting in Denver, for $600 CDN (United Airlines) per person including all taxes and all the other airport BS. If you're interested in driving to Calgary I know that WestJet does direct flights from here to Orlando and sometimes you can get them on sale. I have a friend that works for WestJet and he told me that a good sale price would be $169 per person one way but that's before all of the other airport taxes and junk. He guess-timated that it would be around $500 per person round trip. Keep your eyes peeled!

Hey a newbie! :welcome: come on in and get ready to begin :worship: :disrocks:

1st you may often find out that the REGUALR fares posted on the actual site will be cheaper than ding fares since it is rare to see one from Buffalo. Keep checking sometimes twice a day. You will often find what are called "internet fares" I booked the fare when it 1st came out below $100. within HOURS it had dropped to $79.00 3 weeks (or so) later I got it for $49.00

Just keep checking ... you can change your price as often as you choose to! Sometimes it is part of the fun :cool1:

I booked flights in April from Southwest that are still available right now....from Buffalo to Orlando....$135.60 each return. That is a base fare of $54.88 each way....that is a great rate!

WHOA! So let me get this straight....if my same flights through United went cheaper than when I paid for them can I just call them up and say that I want the cheaper fare? It sounds too good to be true!!!!

I'm decently happy with the price that we paid ($600/person roundtrip - Calgary to Orlando) because I know that if I didn't book them when I did I'd still be searching and getting very antsy! Actually, it probably wouldn't be that big of a deal because I would just roll it up into the rest of my planning...anyway I'd love to get it for the cheaper price that's out right now!

Thanks for the welcome!!

Are you talking about Priceline? I am a bit leary about signing up with them, but I am really leary about paying too much for a flight!

I called Southwest and the girl there was really rude, and pretty much told me to book online. Same with JetBlue.

Somebody make up my mind for me!!

We will be flying out of BUF mid-July but to Ft. Lauderdale first. Then we'll be driving up to WDW. Right now there are fantastic rates on Air Tran. Our flight will be for 1 adult, 1 senior and 1 child. I believe the total cost including taxes is around $600 US.

Good luck!

Beth
