We are travelling to DLP on Monday (Easter Monday ) by eurostar and are worried about all the problems they have been having on the M20. Can anyone who lives near or has travelled recently tell me how bad our journey is likely to be please. If the M20 is closed are the diversions clearly sighposted ? How much extra time should we allow ?
We will be travelling from the in laws in Surrey, as we are from the midlands we dont know the area .
thanks in advance.

Someone mentioned on here it is clearly signposted.

I don't think you will have anymore problems unless we have really bad weather, as the ferry strike has been called of & they have cleared the backlog.

we drove down there last week and it was fine. late saturday approx 6pm. they divert you off the M20 at J9 ( i think it may be j8) then thru a village, signposted, then back on to M20 after. we stayed at the premier travel inn ashford and it was easy peasy to jump back on the m20 in the morning form one junction up and waltz thru the queues, they have the parked all the way along the motorway and up the slip exit, and on the approach road for chunnel but as long as oyu keep to the car lanes oyu are fine :)

It was all clear last Monday when we drove down_ no problems at all

I know have already left but thought i would say my dad drove me to Ashford a few weeks ago when Operation Stack had started and it wasnt too bad. I live in Chatham and i left my house at 6.20am and arrived at Ashford at 7.10am.
