worried about construction at AKL

we are booked for next september for 14 nights and I'm really worried the holiday will now be ruined by construction work. We picked AKL as we love animals and the isolated location and the tranquility of the resort appeals to us, especially as we are there for 14 nights. We always take a break mid afternoon and relax around the pool and I'm just dreading that all we will hear is building work, and that we will see no animals because they will all be hiding because of the construction.

I would definately call after the first of the year and ask someone at the hotel what to expect. We had construction at BC when they built the villas and it was a bit annoying. We did get used to it after a week but you could not ignore the noise. I dont mean to be a downer that is just my experience and I love AKL as you can see from my siggy.
