Worried about cabin location on Disney Magic

I am feeling a little sick to my stomach. I made a rookie mistake. I checked stateroom reviews and also checked to see what was above our staterooms but I missed checking below. We have two connecting verandah rooms on Deck 6 starboard right above the kids club restrooms. Oh no! Will we hear flushing toilets and the echos from tiled restroom walls the whole time :(

The ship is full and I will seriously consider booking a different cruise. I can totally handle normal hallway sounds, etc. But not this. We know for sure that we will spend plenty of time in the room - it's how we vacation and why we must have 2 rooms for our family.

I thought I had done a ton of research but this got past me. We are a family of 5 and I really want connecting Verandah rooms midship for seasickness issues. This is for an October 2015 cruise.

Can honestly say in all the years that I have been on this board that I have never heard of a complaint about being in a cabin above the kids club restroom. I guess that is a good thing!!! We were recently above the Kids Club on the Fantasy and we had no problem at all with noise.

What did the stateroom reports say? If no one has complained about noise I would not give it another thought.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. The bathrooms that you see on the map are public restrooms not the kids clubs. What rooms are you in? We have stayed in 6042 and haven't had any issues. Love deck 6.

Looked at the map again and see the restrooms that I think you are talking about. Like the previous poster said I've never heard of anyone complaining about noise from a bathroom below. You should be good.

Thank you thank you thank you!

I should have included our stateroom numbers - they are 6584 and 6586. Sorry about that.

I would feel much better if they were regular restrooms versus the kids' ones. Just because kiddos have loud and excited voices that echo. I know because I have 3 kids!

I did exhaustively read every stateroom report out there - both for the Wonder and the Magic. Also I read hundreds of various conversations. Hey - I'm a Dis'er. ;) So I agree with the PP's excellent point that if I haven't read any complaints about restroom noise by now, then there must not be an issue.

Thanks, All. Now I can sleep tonight and dream about our very first cruise! :tink:

Couple things...that cruise is not at its PIF date yet so other rooms might open up if you're really worried.

Also...as someone who is very noise sensitive and who DOES care about my stateroom (hotel room, whatever) location and noise levels...buy a GOOD white noise machine. One will be coming along on my cruise. My hearing is very, very good, good enough to drive me nuts in many circumstances.

Did you notice a lot of motion in that stateroom? Any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated

Happy to provide a happy update: the rooms were great! We heard no noise from below or above. Just a little from people passing down the hall. Again this was rooms 6084 and 6086 on the Magic. We felt almost no movement but we did have very calm waters. I do like the midship location and have midship booked again on the Magic later this year. This time we are trying Deck 7 midship and I am little worried there will be more movement since it is higher up and we have a more aggressive itinerary (Eastern Carrib versus Bahamas). But I kind of like movement and it never made actually feel sick.

Deck 7 gets great reviews and so we'll give it a try - yay! Thanks to everyone who calmed me down on this thread. Cheers!

I have stayed in 6042 on the Magic and Wonder - not the Dream - sorry. I did look at it's location and I think you will be fine with movement.

Sorry I misread the post. Thanks for taking a look at it for me. This is my first cruise so I am little bit nervousness

You will love it. I have been on 6 cruises - all 4 ships - and they are all great. Enjoy!

We are in 6084 and 6083 on the Magic for our upcoming cruise. Could you please tell me if 6084 has the pull down bed or just the convertible sofa?

6084 only sleeps 3. Unfortunately there is no pull down bed, only the sofa. Ditto for 6086. It's one reason why we booked different rooms for our next trip.

When we booked, I assumed it had the pull-down since they said it slept 3-4. I have since seen conflicting reports, so thank you for confirming what I have been suspecting.

sure thing. it is absolutely crazy how hard it is to figure it out for an 18 year old ship! I spent a few hours trying to search and figure it out myself because I wanted my 3 kids to each have their own bed. Disney is extremely cryptic about it! I think it has something to do with needing occupancy flexibility for the life boats.

Have a GREAT cruise!!

Thank you for the info. Sounds like it's a good location anyway!
