Just wondering if anyone who was in the parks between the 18 and 22 of this month saw "Johnny!!" That was all that I heard in the parks those days. This little guy just kept getting spoken to very harshly and would never sit down! ANyone??

I wasnt't there this year, but last year on the ferry to MK there was a family fighting with each other, they just looked miserable, dw, dh, and kids and I think MIL. We saw them several times that day and they always looked awful and crabby. I felt very bad for them, whether that was the way they lived their lives, or if just his vacation was bad, I felt bad that they were crabby.

Why didn't you go wherever Johnny wasn't?

One year we were at the parks when there was a Brazilian high school there and if we heard someone speaking Portuguese we hightailed it to the other side of the park. Why stand in line with 1,000 high schoolers if we don't have to? lol

That always irritated me as well. It's vacation afterall! I try to be relaxed with dd (3) but I have to admit this trip was tougher than our last. We just returned and took my parents with us. My mom continually pushed toys in dd's face when she acted up saying it's okay I'll buy you this. Which totally underminded me. I was trying to create a happy vacation memory for all since this was my parents' first vacation! But we also had an issue with an umbrella my mom bought dd. She kept hitting me and other guests with it and I told her it would have to stay under the stroller. She whined and my mom took it out and handed it to her. I was trying to be happy but I got frustrated. So if you saw me last week (and we weren't traveling with Johnny :rotfl: ) I wasn't acting like my usual Disney Self!

Bill Cosby does a skit like this except its little "jeffrey" on the airplane and it makes me laugh just to think about it.

Probably not your intent but thanks for chuckle and I needed one today.

"Jeffery! Jeffery! Jeffery!" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I was also remembering a favorite skit from a favorite video.

We get "fussing" as all families do, even at Disney. What I tell my kids is, "look we are on vacation. That means we take a vacation from fighting too." It always makes my kids and others in line with us laugh, and to be honest, it works. We just take a step back and relax.

There is a family that always argued and one day a stranger called them the Bickering Bickersons. Boy did they cahnge! The whole family was embarrased. Sometimes we're so intent on winning the point, or kids winning the toy, first spot in line, etc, that we have no idea what we sound like.

That's when I start singing. Even if it doesn't cheer up the kids, at least they sulk from humiliation instead of being loud and obnoxious and ti does cheer ME up. "A Brand New World," "Zippidee Doo Da," etc. LOL. A trick my dad taught me as a kid. He used to sing, "Oh What a Beautiful Morning, Oh what a beautiful day," at the top of his lungs. Shut us up immediately. WAY too embarassing. Ahhhh... the joy of being a parent. :earsboy:

That's so funny! My dh and I sing Oh Happy Day really loud when the kids get crazy (dd 1 ds 3) and they usually end up cracking up! Of we sing so ridiculous that even we laugh. It always lightens the mood! :rotfl: :rolleyes1
