What some fun things to do/see in the WS? We went through pretty quick the last time we were there. We're a group of 3 adults and DD will be 6 when we go next April. Thank You!!princess:

Hello,

When you are heading to WS, go left & the first 2 countries (Mexico & Norway) are the ones that have rides there...the other countries do not have rides. Also in Norway is where your DD can meet Anna & Elsa from Frozen.

There are lots of restaurants for all to enjoy. Each country also has children's craft type activities called Kidcot stops. There are shows to watch as well in several countries.

Another option is to buy a "Passport" book ($10) to bring to each country for a momento.

Some of the countries have characters out too.

Have fun :)

When my daughter was six she loved the coloring stations in each country. From the site:

"Free Fun for Little Ones

Keep your tots entertained as you check out each international pavilion or simply take a load off while they color and draw.

See the Cast Member at any Kidcot Fun Stop to get a complimentary cardboard Duffy the Disney Bear for your child to decorate and personalize with the supplies provided at each station. Your friendly Cast Member will share insights about his or her native land, such as how to say “hello,” and give your child a stamp of Duffy in each country. Visit each Kidcot Fun Stop to collect them all!"

DS, five years older at the time, loved the passport activity.
Good luck!

As an Epcot enthusiast just let me say, there is MUCH to do and see in WS. For adults - lots of food and shopping, for your child - plenty of Meet and Greets, "passport" stations in most pavilions, and of course for everyone -- Illuminations. I have always found Morocco especially beautiful. Oh! and pick-a-pearl in Japan is always a must do for me!

I am not sure if it is still there but when we were there last year they had an inter-active Agent P spy game for kids. They would get a little cell phone like a flip one and it would give them clues for things to look for in each country. When they found the clue it would light up or do something. Before it was Agent P it was Kim Possible. This is something that will keep your child interested while you are exploring. My daughter got hers at the stand by the International Gateway. It is free, so you don't have to pay extra for it.

Check the entertainment schedule so you can see the "World Showcase Players". They usually perform in the Great Britain area, presenting short skits. Sometime based on Shakespeare, but they bring audience members in to play different characters and it is always hilarious! :rotfl2: I try to catch them at least twice while I am at Epcot.

My kids love the Agent P game. It is really cute. We like to stop and watch the entertainment too. Sergio in Italy us my son's favorite. We visit the Kidcot coloring stations, also. If you go to the Creative DISigns section of these boards ( way down at the bottom of the list). You will find great passports you can print out and make at home. They are much cuter than the ones you can buy in Disney.

Last year when DD was 7 she loved Epcot so much we added a 3rd day there. She had a blast doing the Agent P challenge and getting a passport signed. She also loved Soarin', Test Track and Mission Space.

Every country has live entertainment of some sort. A good site to get the current schedule (updated each week but the times don't vary that much when you are making plans) and a description of what the entertainment is all about. There's even links to the group's existing website if they have one. The sets are almost always outdoors so as you stroll around and want to see something, you just stop, watch and if you like, stay or, if it's not your thing, you just leave. No set seating so it's very easy to see the groups without investing a ton of time. Also, with the informal settings, it's perfectly acceptable to nosh on something while you are watching. My husband and I have our favorites but I will refrain from mentioning the ones we enjoy and the ones we don't because each family is different and you can easily see for yourself.

One of the reasons World Showcase is where we end up every late afternoon and evening right there, taking several walks around World Showcase, with an adult beverage in our hand and really taking our time. That's the key to the best World Showcase experience with whatever you decide to do. Take your time. If you get your child the Passport (an excellent idea), let him take his time at the tables. Have him or you talk to the Cast Member.

For me, World Showcase is not a place to have a schedule to stick to.

We have always spent at least 2 whole days there with my daughter. I had gotten her a book called Guide to the Magic for Kids, and it has all 4 parks included in it with all of the rides and countries in Epcot. Along with what the other posters had to say, at each country she would open the side by side pages and at the kid stations the representative would write my daughters name in their native language or something else in the empty space. They would also put the stamp for that country there as well, and also write hello or goodbye in that language. She absolutely loved it, and we really got to enjoy every country along the way.
The book can be found at that website, and was definitely worth the money!

La Cava Tequila is a Tequila bar in the Mexico pavilion that makes amazing margaritas and homemade guac/queso/chips.

On the recs of Disboarders I tried the Grand Marnier slushie in France-crazy good!

Via Napoli is the best restaurant in Disney now IMO-and the only one that I would actually go to if it were in my home town.

The American Pavilion has 3 shows: the Fife and Drum Corps play patriotic songs; the Voices of Liberty sing classic American songs and the American Adventure is a 20 minute show covering US history (in an air-conditioned theater), hosted by audio-animatronic Mark Twain and Benjamin Franklin.
