Suggestions for dining, lunch or early dinner, in world showcase that is not akershus or crazy expensive? We will have a 6 and 3 yr old with us.

The QS in Mexico was a very good meal when we did that.

Via Napoli to share a pizza is an option as well. Now, I will say that I am not a fan of Via Napoli at all because our experience there was brutal (service wise, the food was fine). But, 99% of people on these boards rave about the place and it is definitely a cost effective alternative.

Liberty Inn has your burgers/hot dogs/kids meal items, etc if your looking for that kind of food.

WS is our favorite place to eat. We often hop there in the afternoon. There are lots of affordable choices. If you like fish and chips, Yorkshire Co. Fish Shoppe is great. We never miss it. You can get sandwiches and pastries in France at the Boulangerie Pattisserie. We never eat at the American Pavilion since its not very unique. Tangerine Cafe is another favorite of ours. The Schawarma platters could feed 2 people. La Cantina de San Angel is good if you want Mexican and it has lots of cool, indoor seating when its hot.

All of these are quick service and very affordable and most have some kid friendly foods if your little ones aren't adventurous eaters.

My 10yo's favorite part of WDW is dining around the showcase at quick service places and snack kiosks (foodie in the making, b/c that trumps all the rides and characters!). That's great if you go at off times and can find seating, for sure, but will be stressful with 2 kids if you go at a busy time. If you're looking for table service, we took 4 kids (our two and my nieces, ages 8, 5, 4, and 1 at the time) by ourselves to Marrakesh and had a great experience. Bread came quickly, the staff was very friendly and helpful with the kids, kids menu had standard stuff, and they enjoyed the belly dancer and music. As a kid, I loved San Angel so I could watch the boats ride by, so that's another nice option.
