World of Color

We are going to our first Disney trip at Christmas so I have a lot of questions because I want to half know what I am doing.....I seen a thing for the world of color picnic....and it was talking about getting into the veiwing area can you not watch the world of color if you don't buy the meal and if you can does it cost extra to get into the world of color

To answer you question in general, no! You can get fastpasses at GRR for WOC and still get a good view. I have done both the picnic and fastpasses and I don't think there is any difference between the 2. You can also do the meals but I have heard they are not worth it unless you are already going to eat there.

The pp is correct: there is no difference between the free FPs from the Grizzly Rapids machines and the FPs from the WOC picnics. I believe that the picnics give a yellow FP and the same yellow FPs are available from the GRR machines.

Also agree with the advice to read (carefully!) the first post in the WOC superthread. All the basic info you will need is there.

Thank you so much!! That thread was very helpful!! I fill like I know a little more!!....I just don't want to get there and be completely lost so we can make the most of the 3 days we will be there.

The picnics do give you the exact same Yellow FP as the machines will give you. We went to DL with DBF's family, they did the picnic lunches, we didn't, we just got FPs but we were in the same section they were.
We very much enjoyed our FP area when we ate at CCTR thought, people say it isn't better but we thought it was simply because it was a lot less crowded. YMMV of course.
