Tell me everything! Links to picts of food offered with WOC Dining package, etc...

We are staying at THE GRAND and know you need to run over and grab your reservation ticket first thing.

Is it worth it?

Hey there!

I would highly recommend a WOC dining package, if you go to the Food Picture thread I uploaded photos from the Wine Tertorria meal we had. We went straight to the WOC line after dinner and waited until they dropped the rope. We got front row centre, it was incredible!

I am Tink91's Mum, and I totally agree with everything she said.
I actually had no intention of seeing WOC, but Tink wanted to go, so she "dragged" me along.
The food at Wine Country Trattoria was amazing. The salad was to die for, I am still craving it! We shared the seafood pasta & the baked chicken, both were excellent. The desert platter was great too.
Although the CM told us to not line up til 8.15pm, we decided to go & check out the line about 7.25pm. Lucky we did, there was a large crowd waiting, so we waited too.
When we got to our "preferred seating area" we were first in & got right to the front of the railing. We sat down & waited for the pre show...which was cool- lit up characters dancing around- then sat down again then finally WOC started at 9.00pm.
All I can say is I am so glad my daughter made me go with her. It was amazing, words cannot express how good the whole night was!!:goodvibes

We did the dinner package too, only at Ariel's, which we LOVED! We were the second family to enter the preferred dining area and had a great spot at the rail. To us it was worth it to not have to wait in line first thing in the morning. But if you don't want to do that, I think it would be worth it go get in line since you are staying at the Grand. You will have a jump on other people. The show was amazing! Our whole family loved it.

We're here right now and did the Picnic meal dining package. we picked up our picnic's around lunch time (perfect for lunch) and they were very filling. you get "Blue" passes with your picnic meal for the early show at 9:15pm. we lined up for WOC at 715 and they started letting us into the sections at 745. We decided to go for the wet zone down in front and it was a great choice of seats. you don't get soaked if you're off to the side of centre and the view was great! We got a little sprinkle. If you go to the disneyland site it shows pictures of all the picnic meals. they are exactly as they show in the pictures!

We had the little squirts box, the kids chicken box, the all american meal, and taste of asia. They were very good. The kids loved their choices too.

Have fun!

See World of Color Superthread

Is it worth it? For us it was. If you are willing to put forth the effort to get a good viewing spot it is totally worth it. If not, it may not be worth it now and you might want to wait a few years until interest dies down a bit.

If I didn't have the dining package for WOC, I would not have bothered to see the show. Even with the dining package, I wasn't blown away.
But that's my opinion and you should definitely check it out yourself as plenty of people love it. Still, pay the money for the meal--the convenience is well worth it. It looked like chaos and crowds for everybody else.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed WoC. If you're interested in the picnic option, I did a review of our experience for the DIS. Here's the link. It's a less expensive alternative to a table service dining package and you don't have to brave the FP line in the morning...kind of a happy medium. We really liked it.

We tried the picnic option. The food was terrific and it is well worth the expense to get the FPs. I would also recommend that you pick up your picnic meals for lunch. You can pick up your FP at the same time. We asked if we have a choice of color for the FP. They told us that they had both yellow and blue. Earlier in the day I would ask CMs what section they thought was the best. They all said "blue". We picked blue and got on the bridge (again most CM said this was one of the best spots). We had the best view and just a few sprinkles. I absolutely loved the WOC and would recommend it for everyone at least once.

Thanks for the links everyone. We NEVER ddo fantasmic.. and only the parade once. we had preferred seating, but wouldn't do it again unless we had another child who had never seen the parade. I LOVE THE FIREWORKS... but worry WOC is a waste of an evening that we could be riding our favorite rides.

The picnic for adults looked ok, but it looked more like snacks for kids and not so much food or a meal. It looks like DH decided to book dinner at Ariel's Grotto... so I guess that's our plan! I hope I don't regret it! I always felt like fantasmic and parades werea time to enjoy my favorites and I am not good at sitting still! But I do love the fireworks and we never miss a chance to see them. It sounds like they are not doing fireworks this visit, so I hope WOC is awesome!
