World of Color video

Has it been announced when this show is going to start?? I'm thinking of planning a trip this summer, but only if I can see the show.

June 12th, I think is the day. They are starting a summer event called "Summer Nightastic" I'm not sure on the day or name but feel pretty good about it. It was posted on a Disneyland page a week or two ago but I can't find it now.

Summer Nightastic starts 6/11 and I believe it is assumed to be starting that day.... the day we arrive. I'd rather it didn't as I don't think I"ll like the crowds it brings in!

I am sure (and I hope) that is more impressive in person. I does remind me of the old Disneyland Hotel water show which I loved in its small scale. I do feel like I am in Las Vegas while watching that video! I didn't watch the whole clip, but the music wasn't the usual "disney-wow" music for me either. I'm not sure my 4 year old would sit or stand still for the whole show (again I didn't watch the whole thing). I am sure in person it would more emotional and pretty...but the video didn't capture all that. Thanks so much for posting it....was great to get that first peak. Hope they are testing it in three weeks....wonder if the GCH will know the testing schedule at check in??????????????

We'll be there June 11-17th, and I can't decide if I want it to open then, or dread it. Aren't they doing some type of fastpass to be able to see it?

Hm...it looks very very impressive, but I'm left wondering something. All of the world of color concept art and promos had an Alice in Wonderland segment inside of it, but I didn't hear or see anything related to Alice in the show that was in the full test video. Did I just miss it...? Or is there really not going to be any of those cool Alice bits we saw in the concept art?

i used to be so excited for WOC and DCA but after watching the testing also from my DVC room I came to realize it's not all that.. and im afraid it wont attract repeat viewing like they think it will..

Hear, hear! I want to experience it in person the first time! But it is so exciting that it is up and nearly ready to go.

Well, after watching about half of it, I can tell you that the video will give you a sense of what the show will be like, but I don't think it is a spoiler in any way. I would not want to watch the show the first time from the angle that the video was shot, but after I had seen it from the ground, then that would be a great bonus to having that room with that view.

If you watch the video, during part of the Little Mermaid segment, you can see a little bit of the video projection on the right side of the zephyr (you can kinda see Ariel around 4:10 once the water "dies down").

I love how at the beginning of the video, there's a woman's voice saying in a hushed, excited tone "It's starting!" That's how I feel every time I see a show at Disneyland.

I also really like the section starting at 4:25.
