World of Color Superthread

Has anyone seen the World of Color page on the Disneyland site?

I thought the park about the dining experiences was interesting, and it almost sounds like there will be different dining tiers or options. Hmm..... :confused3

And now it's gone.

I imagine because everyone on posts 152 to 199 wouldn't stop calling for a meal/show package. JK.

But I don't doubt that people were calling all day asking. I wonder if a CM gets twenty calls from guests asking about a desert package. If the CM will start telling guest the they heard there may be a desert package?

Great catch, skiingfast--I don't see any reference to dining/etc. packages now, either. Looks like the rumors of "might not do the packages until the show's been going for a while" might be true after all.

(I wonder if that means they'll move my "bumped" dining package at Ariel's back to 6 PM! :rotfl: )

OK its official... I think I'm starting to go as Mad as the Hatter waiting to hear ANYTHING on the soft openings.... They said were going to start between May 12-18th..... Really come on Disney!!! Its the 12th now. No news yet???

Disney never said it. That would be Al Lutz. :) Plus, his info would only be wrong if they failed to have them by May 18. :):)

Out of anyone who gives us any insider scoop, I trust Al Lutz the most. Things change all the time, but even any word on some change is driving me bonkers. LOL! :rotfl:

I'd love to see the show, but I think the headache just isn't worth it. I'm not eager to splash around money, but I also know that since we are going the first week of this insanity, it would be much easier to pay the money just to not have to fight for showpasses, etc.

Ah, well. We'll see how it goes.

I cant even fathom the lineups to get the show pass tickets! :scared:

Im done stressing. I asked vp to book fantasmic for us as it is only us two and makes it affordable and we have never done the dessert one. The boys would never want to do it so it makes a nice girls birthday treat. As for WOC I asked vp to book it if it becomes available and if not we wing it with a little help from the Dis board:goodvibes

well, soft opening, i doubt will happen. Cast preview is always first! :)

Please, please, please......have a soft opening on May 22nd! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

DCA's hours have changed from 11 pm to 10 pm during June. :upsidedow

:eek:Just when it looked like they were starting to make decisions and finalize things, they changed their minds again? I don't mind not knowing. That is just the name of the game. What is making me nervous is the constant back and forth. And by that I don't mean what Al Lutz is reporting, I mean what Disney is putting out on their website such as posting that there will be dining packages for WOC and then deleting it and going back and forth with DCA's closing time in June. I understand going back and forth with decisions while you are still planning behind closed doors. (ie: Al Lutz info) But once you feel comfortable enough to make something official (by posting it on your site), the time for changing your mind every day is over in terms of maintaining credibility. I understand the occasional tweaking, but they have changed the closing time for DCA more than once in the past few days.

That seems to be the trend. Since your not mentioning about about the cast preview, you probably dont know much yet either then. With all the hype they are gonna need some sort of idea on crowd control. But I bet you they just have too much on their plate trying to figure out how to accomodate everyone. Specially with the hours changing constantly for DCA. They have a few weeks to figure it out! :-)

I thought June 24th was a Grad Night? Any ideas as to why DCA is open until 10:00 pm? It looks like DCA was closing at 6:00 pm on other Grad Nights. Am I missing something?
