I know the most popular option for WOC ONE on here is the Dessert Party, but for multiple reasons it is not for me.

I know that the VQ drops at noon - is that only for the first show or is it for both shows and when the first one is full it defaults you into the later show? Or is it for the first show only? I have looked and looked and can't seem to find that answer anywhere.

I'm not opposed to seeing the second show - is that sometimes easier to see just in general?

(I'm looking at 8/23 or 25 for seeing it if those dates make any difference in terms of crowds - the 22nd is my arrival day and I'm coming from the East Coast so I'll probably have an early night that time; the 24th DCA closes early for some event PLUS that is the night I'm planning Disneyland's fireworks; the 26th is my departure day and I'll be in the air by the time WOC ONE starts.)

I don’t know if this is official, but anecdotally, I believe it’s done by how quickly you join the VQ. I was recently in the DLR for 3 days and each day we joined the VQ because the grown ups in our party took turns seeing WoC and staying in the room with sleeping kids.

Day 1 I joined the VQ a few minutes after 12 and got the first show. Day 2 I completely forgot to join until about 1:30 and got the late show. Day 3 I joined around 12:15 and also got the early show.

Thank you. So if I'm thinking I want the second, maybe wait a little while it seems.

If your concern with the early show is crowds, I did the early show twice (we’re east coasters and no one was staying awake for the late show) and it didn’t seem overly crowded to me. One night we got stuck on RsR and walked up to the show at 8:48 for the 9:00 show and still had a great spot to stand. Far less crowded than say, lining up for fireworks at the MK or DLP. I had lots of elbow room.

Thanks! That is good to know!!
