Apparently, some folks are being notified that previews of a special new enhancement to World of Color will happen at the end of June (the 28th through 30th).

Some new "Glow with the Show" Magical Ear Hats will debut soon. The hats dance with the colors of the show. Taken from a post on micechat.

Some think it might look like this video of wristbands at this coldplay concert...watch the whole thing!

From Steve Davidson:
"We have special plans for Tangled that will include some new effects that we are working on. I love Tangled. It will find its way into WOC in the near future."

More info from another website:

From now through June 21 (or until event reaches capacity), Disneyland Annual Passholders will have the opportunity to register to attend a special preview World of Color ‘Glow With the Show’ event to be held at Disney California Adventure on the nights of June 28, 29 and 30 after park closing.

Each of the annual passholders attending the event will also receive a complimentary pair of ‘Glow with the Show’ ears seen here.

To register for the event, annual passholders aged 18 and over must present their cards along with photo ID at any of the Disneyland Resort ticket booths in the esplanade area. Each passholder is allowed to bring up to three guests of any age, but they must all have valid annual passes (children under 3 are not counted, but will not receive a complimentary pair of ‘Glow with the Show’ ears. In addition, passholders may only attend an event on a night they are not blocked out.

Event Time and Dates

Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 11:45 p.m for Southern California, Deluxe, Premium and Premier Annual Passholders
Friday, June 29, 2012 at 11:45 p.m. for Deluxe, Premium and Premier Annual Passholders
Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11:45 p.m. for Premium and Premier Annual Passholders

Note that as the private screening will be after regular park hours, all attractions, shops and restaurants will be closed during this event.

Wow at first I thought this was some cynical attempt to sell more hats but to see they are offering it for free is pretty cool! I might sign up for it myself now!

Gah why do you taunt me so ! Will miss this by a few weeks and wont be able to come back up for it..bummer. Looks like a cool concept !:sad1:

What site is this?

N/M, I found it after doing some googling.

Thank you for posting this. When I go pick up my Carsland preview tickets on Saturday.

Grabbed my pass for it this afternoon. Now I'm just hoping I don't end up working that night so I can actually go!

So if this is the preview event...will it be likely they'll have this up for the public by the end of July? *hopeful..*

When my friend and I got FP's for BTMRR this morning, the FP machine spit out passes for the "Glow with the Show Ears Screening". Its good for June 28, 29, or 30! It begins at 11:45 pm and you must have a valid, unblocked AP for that date. Hat is free and included!! We both have premium AP's.

Waaahhhh I so wish I could go!

Is that the only FP machine that will give out passes for the preview or will all FP machines do that?

This is a neat idea, though I cringe a bit to see anything that encourages people to wear hats at World of Color...it's already not very easy to get a good view. :headache:

Giving free ears to APs is a pretty idea, actually. The ears won't enhance the show for any onlookers if there isn't a large enough group of people wearing them, so giving them to people who visit the parks a lot could help keep enough ears in the mix to make the show impressive.

On the other hand, if APs don't bother viewing the show often, then this will just be another AP perk. (Of course, Disney increased the prices enough, I guess they can afford it!)

From what I have been able to gather, this is going to be one of the first public tests. So they are using us as guinea pigs, which I have no problems with. But if they keep doing events like this throughout the year, then the AP price increase may not seem as bad to many people. I think it would also be nice if they would offer some events only to premium pass holders, since they went up so much more than the other passes.
