OK, for those heading this way in the next couple of weeks, here is the lowdown on where to catch all the World Cup action on TV.
Basically, if you have a TV in your hotel or villa, you WILL be able to get all the games, so it won't be necessary to go anywhere that only has cable/satellite reception. ALL the games will be on mainstream TV channels (either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2), so they will be easy to find.
For the ENGLAND games, the group stages will be screened as follows (all times US EST):
v Paraguay, Friday June 10, 9am on ABC
v Trinidad, Thursday June 15, 12 noon on ESPN2
v Sweden, Tuesday June 20, 3pm, ESPN.
All knockout stage games (provided we get there!) yet to be confirmed, but timings will be: 2nd rd, Jun 24 or 25, 11am; quarter-finals (Jun 30, Jul 1) 11am and 3pm; semi-finals (Jul 4 and 5) 3pm; 3rd place play-off (Jul 8) 3pm; final (Jul 9) 2pm.
All the obvious places (Cricketers Arms, George & Dragon, all British pubs on Highway 192, etc) will be showing the games, but some will also be charging to get in. However, the wonderful new Raglan Road Irish pub at Downtown Disney will also have TVs installed specially for the World Cup and will be opening early (i.e. 9am), with no admission charge.
