My SIL and DN were supposed to be working until 11:30 am and then driving to Ct with the rest of the family but they were sick yesterday. I hope they are better today. I bought a lot of food. DH is leaving for work now. Lots of very sick hospitalized pts. Very sad that they are so sick over Christmas and can't be with their families.

My SIL works for a pharmacy that is open and her husband works for a nursing home so they are both working during the day. The grand nephews need their naps so we'll have Christmas from 3 on today. I took Tuesday off so I could recover from all the work today.

It should be fun but it is a lot of work. At least my kids are grown so there are no presents to take care of. The present they all got is that picture in my signature - a week at WDW with all the trimmings.

I'm working today too!!! Had a choice of 7-3, or 3-11- I go in at 3. At least I got to watch the excitement this morning, and we just finished brunch. DH is taking the kids to see a movie this afternoon, and I'm off tommorrow-Yeah.

My husband is working today as well. He works at the airport and we all know they aren't closed. Fortunately, he went in at 4:00 this morning so he'll be home by 1:30 to spend the rest of the day with us.

So Xmas is just slightly delayed at our house.

My DH is working today too. He got up at 5am to go to the fire station.

This is the first time he's had to work on Christmas Day, in the 13 years he's been with the department, so for that, we're grateful.

I sure do miss him though!

YAY! It's good to know that had DIS company today at work. I did get to see my Mother and some family today though. I was just so grateful that today did feel a little like Christmas!

This is one of the first XMAS I havnt worked! But will be working new years. Working at a hospital you dont have to many choices.

I worked Christmas Eve...11p-9a and again Christmas night 11p-9a. I am on call this week and we had a third shift person not show up for the first night of her 7 night rotation, so I had to cover it. It being Christmas week I was not able to find anyone to cover the other nights so I have been working every night since 12/21. I can't wait until tomorrow night so I can get back to my regular routine. At least I can take the rest of the week off as I have already worked upwards of 55 hours this week.

Boyfriend worked 7pm-1am last night and is working 7pm tonight till 5am.

He's a paramedic at a fire house. It's been fairly busy tonight.

He might be working New Years as well, I'm going to be away on a family vacation anyway.
