Working for the mouse?

Hey all. I am interested in a career with Disney, and have some questions that some of you might be able to answer.

For those of you that currently or have previously worked for the mouse, what is, or was your position?

Is it possible to make a living solely at wdw, or did you have to supplement your income with a second job?

What is the work environment like? i.e., how friendly are the coworkers and management staff, and do you find your job to be challenging, fulfilling and rewarding?

Is it difficult to advance in the company, assuming that you meet the qualifications for advancement?

I have read that when you apply for a job at WDW, you have to start at the bottom regardless of experience or education. Is this true?

Does working for WDW ruin the magic?

I am planning on pursuing my master’s degree in hospitality and tourism management. I would like to participate in a professional internship at WDW. I have looked at the professional internships on Disney careers, and one of the qualifications is that applicants are Disney CP alumni. I am not. Does this disqualify me?

Thanks all for your input
