Hi All! First time poster here!

I am supposed to start working at the Disney Reservations Center in Orlando at the end of the month.

Can anyone tell me what the pay potential is and how hard it is to make the "good money" there?

Please only respond if you work there, or know someone who does.

Thanks!

Hi and :welcome: to DisBoards!

It would help if you know a lot about WDW and how it, and the Resorts, work for the Guests. Once you are actually employed you might want to contact the webmasters (admin@wdwinfo.com) to get access to the Cast Members portion of the board.

You might want to look at the two stickys I have links to in my signature. We find that many DRC people do not understand the tickets that they sell. And also they have problems when people need accessible rooms, especially since people with different disabilities have different needs, and there are different types of accessible rooms.

If you are not extremely familiar with the parks and resorts, one you are employed go to them as often as possible so you will know what you are talking about.

Thank you for the advice!

I do believe I already know a lot about the tickets. I also will be going through a 7-week training program for the role. I'm not saying I know everything by any means, but more than the average person, I would be willing to bet

Question: What are "sticky"s in your signature??

Thanks again!

I could answer your sticky question, however in your initial thread you stated "Please only respond if you work there, or know someone who does. " Please forgive me for responding but I felt compelled to point out that you may not get a response to your second line of questioning without allowing other who do not work there to answer.;)

The "sticky" comment refers to the links in Cheshire Figment's signature (bottom of the post). As for your other questions, Disney CMs are not allowed to discuss their pay, benefits or employment details publicly.

if you work your way up to ceo, you can make millions and millions.

When I interviewed there in 2004, I was impressed by the cafeteria and the overall feel of the place. BUT...when the HR lady told me how much a sales agent made, I got up and walked out! She told me the range was $6.35 to $7.85/hour! That was four years ago but I don't imagine the pay has gone up too much...it is after all...Disney. Plus the fact that you have to agree to work ANY schedule didn't sit well with me.

If you're going to work there....good luck to you! I hope you enjoy it.
:thumbsup2
