Work from Home Survey sites?

Hi all. I have been laid off from my one job, the one that made me the most money, for a little over a month now and its really starting to hurt.
I have been trying unsuccessfully to find something else but so far no good.
I was wondering if there is anyone out there who ever has done or is doing those work from home survey sites. Which are not scams and where I can make alittle extra money until something better comes along. Even if I only make enough to put gas in the car and buy bread and milk. Anything will help at this point. Thanks everyone.

Keep your chin up, it will get better, hopefully sooner rather than later. But I'd like to know too, a little extra money is a good thing!

I signed up for a legitimate survey site two years ago and have made a grand total of 10.00. They "prescreen" you for each survey to see if you are in the targeted demographic, if you aren't you don't get to take the paid survey.

Although I already work from home (thankfully) I only have one contract. In an effort to diversify and get some eggs into a different basket, and bring in extra money I have researched many, many "work from home" sites and opportunities and found none to be worthwhile. I have finally simply started my own virtual assistant business and am having to market and network etc. on my own.

To make extra cash, seriously look at your abilities and experience and try to pick up some work from those by opening your own business. Are you a good organizer? Many people will pay for this kind of help. Babysitting, word processing, running errands, etc. At VistaPrint you can get free business cards, postcards, and even brochures. I got one box of free cards and have received free offers via email at least weekly since.

Also, with Christmas coming up, local retailers will be hiring. Even part time will help.
