Work From Home/earn extra Money??

Hello,

I know in the past there have been threads about LEGITIMATE work from home/things to do to earn extra money. I'm looking for ideas and legitimate websites for different work from home businesses or any other ideas from everyone. We are trying to pay off debt. I already work an almost full time job, but would love to do something else from home. I have been selling tons of items on ebay and that has helped, but I would like to find something else.

wahm.com has a lot of information about home businesses and contract jobs that can be done from home.

I have been working at home for many years now at various call centers but primarily liveops.com they are openned 24 hours a day. I do informericals calls but they have many other line groups now.

In addition, there are alot of other work at home call centers from donation calls to customer service.

I do ChaCha. I work from home on the computer and I get to pick and choose when I feel like working. You don't have to work any set amount of hours. The pay is low but it does pay. They were recently featured on one of the morning shows as the number one work at home opportunity. It is a lot to learn at first but is easy once you get it down. ChaCha is paying for my Disney trip in October. If you want to know more, just let me know. I will be more than happy to help you through the application process, learning, and then working.

I have worked with the flower company in the past from home part-time. Now I work pt as an instructor online.

The website mentioned earlier, is a good resource.

OP, you should know, when worm says chacha pay is low, it is VERY low. you answer queries as they come in, and you get an average of .10 per query. the average total earnings is probably about $15 per day, for those who work really fast. i worked 5-6 hours per day, and made $11 each day. the queries have become MUCH more difficult and time-consuming for guides, with expeditors answering the easy ones using previous guide answers. and expeditors make much less - $.02-$.03 per query, but they can work much faster using our previous answers.
now, granted, if i worked faster, i could make more, but you get graded on QUALITY, not quantity, (and will be terminated for consistently low quality ratings) and my quality rating was consistently 100%, so while i was doing things right, it was impacting my earnings. i'm not chaining myself to a desk all morning for $11.00. this is just MY experience; obviously, others may be able to work faster and make a little more, but i personally wouldn't recommend it. i'm now taking some time away from chacha and looking for a job outside my home. the people who run chacha and hang out in the forums will tell you that chacha is not meant to be a real source of income, but more a "fun money" type job. those who depend on it for income are often on the forum complaining about outages and pay, and how they can't pay their bills because they're not getting queries or the payment system is down. at times, it gets very tense and desperate.

Some states have rules about being an independent contractor and LiveOps doesn't contract with them.

If you know how to write there are some opportunities for freelance writing as well out there.
