Word I LOVE: discombobulated- I try to use this word whenever I can because I like the way it sounds!!!!

Word I HATE- wienie- ugh! :crazy2:

Anyone else?

LOVE: oxymoron

HATE: I hate it so much I can't even type it.

Denae

Hate - indemnity

Love - eggified (when a kitty turns its front paws under it and looks like an egg)

Love: shrubbery, wombat, bacchanalia, twitchy, throb, albatross, petulant, misanthropic

Hate: well...I can't say them here, but one is a euphemism for a woman's chest (the t-word that ends in "-ies" - I do use the t-word on its own, though) and the other is a 6-letter word that begins with S and ends with A. My ex says it all the time and it just sounds icky to me.

I LOATHE the words panties and peeps (for people).

I know there are a bunch of words that I really like, but I can't think of 'em at the moment. I know--good post, Jodie. :sad2:

It pains me to type this word out. I consider it a curse word as far as my children are concerned. Here I go....

I HATE the word............................................

And I love:love: the word....

Ok, you are going to have to PM me this one. I can't figure it out.

To answer the original question:
Love- onomatopoeia

Hate- any ebonics, such as wif, ax, birfday, etc.

I basically hate any derogatory words.

I love the worlds- Smile, similie, laughing, and fishy. . .

Not a word, but I hate, loathe, run nekkid into the woods at the mention of the term............................PMS

I couldn't think of anything but I agree with some of you here... Panties and Ebonics. No thank you! :rotfl:

I hate the pure. I can't pronounce it- when I try it comes out prrrr like a cat. My favorite word is Ruthie. Hehe, I love it when people say my name <3

I love, " Melliflous " It just sounds sooo smooth!:thumbsup2

"Her melliflous voice captivated me....rendering me prisoner..."

I am 100% with you on that one. I'm just glad I didn't have to type it out!!

I'm not sure on the ones I love, though:confused3 .

Love: Paprika

HATE: irregardless, which isn't a word at all.

I always love a good heated discussion about irregardless. Here's what Merriam-Webster dictionary says:

One entry found for irregardless.

Main Entry: ir·re·gard·less
Pronunciation: "ir-i-'gärd-l&s
Function: adverb
Etymology: probably blend of irrespective and regardless
nonstandard : REGARDLESS
usage Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that "there is no such word." There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.
