My waist is about 24 and there is still room for me to tighten it up. If you look
here you can see how it is very adjustable. I like the bag to hang down on my hips a bit, and I have no issues with this bag at all.
If it is still too big, you could do a bit of alterations on it. There is room on both sides of the belt to cut the belt down and restitch it. Any alterations place would be able to do this, or if you can sew a straight seam, you can easily do it yourself. It is a very short and quick job.
