When Dolly was disigning, she had a whole section on how to do different things and I saved them all, but now after numerous computer failures, I can no longer find them. Are her instructions still on the boards somewhere? I am especially interested in trying to do the word fills.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again,

Peg

Rustman,

Thanks so much, that is just what I needed. I really appreciate you taking the time to help.

So I was trying to do my first word fill and I was getting it but none off the images were showing where I would ultimately like them. For those of you that have done this do you find it better to do one letter at a time vs a whole name/word or do you tend to do a name at a time with the one image?

I do mine one letter at a time:
I am sure there is an easier way to do than what I do but this is what works for me. I type the name with a border only, no fill inside. Then I apply the bevel to the text outline. The background and inside the letters are white at this point. I make a copy of this. One copy I fill the letters with my background pattern. I then place the clip Art one by one in each letter, I use clipart with a transparent background. Then I go back to my blank copy. I fill the letters with a solid color, copy and paste as transparent and place it over the filled letters. To make the images pop out I copy and paste portions of the clip art or use the erase tool but I find copy and paste faster. I could do it in layers but because of the way I place the characters on top after it does not work right for me. Hope this helps :)

I use Corel PSP and just wrote down these directions the other day:
Type name on layer
Paste picture
Right click and arrange bring letters to top
Touch letters with magic wand
Move letters to the bottom layer
Hit delete on name
Hit invert and then delete on picture
