Wooo Hooo! Wait list for Add-on Points Came Through!

I just got a call from my guide and the wait list for my 100 add-on points at BCV came through! Feb use year if anyone is interested.

Maistre Gracey... Yes, it was $84 per point and then they offered $10 MB.

This has me a little confused and possibly a little upset.

First, congratulations on your add on!!

My husband walked in the house tonight, took a look at the SSR brochure and declared that he thought it looked boring and stuffy and that he didn't want to add on there-he's very matter of fact, doesn't mix words, says what he means, etc.

He says he wants BCV if it is still available.

I know our use year is "sold out" for BCV but would have gone on the waitlist if I knew we could use MB. Then I read posts about resorts aren't really sold out-DVC just says that when they are getting close.

Should I call my guide and ask him what is up?

floridafam.... My guide is Jim McCoy.... Although now you have me a bit scared. He was on vacation when I called to add-on. The women I spoke with, her name was Betty told me that I would be getting the MB. When I talked with Jim today, I wanted to confirm the conversation with Betty, but he told me that he didn't have my folder in front of him, because he was going a bit crazy from returning, he just wanted to tell me that the points were available, he said, that whatever Betty told me would be what was on the contract. I guess we will see when the Fed Ex package arrives.

Don't panic.

I'll try to explain this the way they described.

There is a waitlist for add on pts at the various resorts.

These are pts from contracts they buy back. MB can't be used on these add ons because those pts have already been around the block.

There is basically another waitlist. It's technically not one but if you call to add on they might have someone who cancels or their credit doesn't go through or something and those pts get thrown back in the mix. These have never been used before and are what you received and what I am hoping to receive. You can use MB on these.

I hope I am correct and not posting anything I am not allowed to post.

So, to make a long story short, we are on the waitlist for BCV pts and hope someone cancels or something in the next few days.

floridafam.... Okay, thanks, I feel a bit better now. I only called to be put on the waitlist last week. I think it was Thursday, maybe Wednesday, so hopefully you will get lucky too!

I'm sure I'll be a total nutcase if it takes a long time.

I really hope it comes through. We own at VB and VWL and those are both sold out with no hope of adding on and being able to use MB so BCV is the only thing DH is willing to do right now.

Hopefully, I'll be posting good news in few days.

So I'm on the add on for VWL, 70 points. There is now way I'd get MB if I did 100 instead since I'm waitlisted at VWL?
floridafam or anyone, do I ahve to put down 20% or 10%?
And my guide didn't get my CC number. Are they suppossed to so they can hold thsoe poinst when they coem through off the waitlist? Anyoen know?
I'll be out again today so I'll have to wait to call my guide.
