Woohoo...new toy!

Well it took long enough.... but we FINALLY got off our bums and bought a new car! Really...it only took 8 months since the last one was kindly written-off by a joyrider crashing into it whilst it was parked

We got a Red T reg TD Escort - 1999, never had such a new car! Should suit us just fine for running around in and......going to DIS meets

We got our new car last week Penny, it's a nice feeling isn't it? We got a Steel Blue Metallic Ford Mondeo with air conditioning - but the a/c didn't work! Anyway on Wednesday it went back to the garage and is now working beautifully, it was great yesterday to be 'cool' in my car!

This is also our newest car for many years. When DH and I first met we both had brand new cars, but when babies started arriving things went downhill from there! Ours is a V reg so 2 and a half years old, mileage is only 17,500 compared to the car we just sold which had done 100,000 miles!

It's lovely getting a new car isnt it?

I am still pleased with my Scenic - it's not a sporty as the Audi was, but then again, I'm not exactly whizzing around whilst I have my mum in the car! Being up higher definetly has it's advantages, and I love the twin sun roofs.
