What size tree do you want for the dining room? A small table top one, or a big one?

Well done on finishing your Christmas shopping Claire. I keep saying I'm finished, but then I seem to get my girls 'just one more thing' :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm hoping to get my 7ft tree soon too, I can't wait to put it up :santa:

I'm like that too mandy....I will probably carry on buying things for hubby when I see them but I'm done with everyone else.

Are you having a real 7ft tree? Thats what we usually have in our hallway, but won't have that this year due to going to WDW from 1st to 20th Dec.

Hubby has agreed to get the decorations out of the loft on Weds/Thurs! Woo hoo!!

When are you hoping to put your decorations up ?

Yes I'm hoping to get a 7ft slimline tree. I bought a 7ft normal tree last year, but I had to move my furniture too much to fit it in :rotfl2: :rotfl2: The 28th seems too far away, and I want to put my tree up NOW !!!!! :santa:

We will put the tree up hopefully on weds/thurs as soon as DH gets his butt in the loft! :lmao:

I am going to leave it up for a couple of days without anything on it though as I have a feeling Bailey is going to be a nightmare with it. I am hoping to decorate it on Sunday. (I am not normally this early but I want it up before we go away). You should put your tree up now!!

I forgot to say I got some Santa slippers today and a christmas tree on a headband that lights up!! :santa:

I can't wait to see some pics of your tree and decorations Claire. LOL, I like the sound of your Christmas tree headband and slippers :santa:

I think hubby would start divorce proceedings if I put my tree up that early :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I will take a pic of my slippers and head band for you a bit later.

LOL - I nearly fainted when hubby said he would get them out the loft for me earlier (I was driving the car at the time too!), I think it's because I started the nagging about two weeks ago! It worked! ;)

I can't wait to put our tree up too, I've got a new 6ft one. I'm hoping that the kids are good with it this year as the last 3 years we have had a tree on the dining table in the lounge as I thought they might pull it over, I'm hoping that if I threaten them with the Elves telling Santa that they have been bad that I might get away with having a tree on the floor for a change! :)

Now that sounds like a plan Gems, I'm sure the kids will be good now ;)

Has anyone got an "upside down tree" ?

My hubby wants to get one this year but I think they look horrible:rotfl2:

Went shopping today with my gift cards, I buy a gift card at the beginning of the year for various different stores, I had an M&S card, Boots, Debenhams and Frasers.
Every time I'm in one of the stores I just top up the card, sometimes a tenner if I'm feeling poor then just a fiver.

I had £430.00 in M&S, £170 in Boots, £110 in Debenhams and £190 in Frasers.
I hardly even noticed that I was saving.
You can guess M&S is my favourite store eh!!

So all the shopping is done, well except selection boxes and little things, but most of it and I didn't use my credit card once:cool1:

That is a really good idea!

As you say spending the odd fiver or tenner everytime you go in the store you don't notice but it obviously all adds up! :thumbsup2

I'm not keen on the upside trees either, they just look wrong (but fun) :)

What a great idea to put money on store cards, I really must try that next year :santa:

Kyra's Snow White dress from WDW came today and wow im so glad I'm really lucky it only cost me $25 compared to the $69 it sells in WDW.

Going to have to wrap it up before DD finds it lol.
