This week I have finally got into the Christmas spirit. Monday kicked it off when I bought a couple of decorations in Tesco. Yesterday I ordered three books from Amazon and picked out three necklaces from Virgin Vie which I shall order today.

I am slightly worried about what my Dad is buying me though. I couldn't have just money which is what i'd have prefered (to put towards future Disney holidays) and I wasn't allowed to give him a list of things either then he rings me up yesterday and asks me which I prefer Nao or Swarovski? I say neither but he insists I will like it, I say I'm not an ornament type person, again he insists I will like it, I say but I've got nowhere to put it, which he concedes but say's I'll just have to keep it until we get a bigger house! I tell him I will get back to him and go and have a look at Nao and Swarovski on the Internet, both are really expensive and not at all what I would buy. Both also have Disney ranges out so I wonder if that is what he is planning on getting me. The Swarovski stuff is nicer but so expensive, Eeyore is £135, which to me seems like a huge waste of money. I do have some Disney Snowglobes etc but they are ones I have bought on holiday so are reminders of the hoildays and not just random ornaments. Any ideas on how I can convince my Dad I really do not want one?

Oh Claire, that's a toughie. I can only suggest what I would do, and that would be to look on the website and print out pictures of several things that I like and ask him to choose one of those. There's nothing worse than knowing that someone has spent lots of money on something that you don't like

Has anyone got any Christmas shopping arranged for the weekend ? What are you planning on buying ?

Today i'm going to wrap my parents presents. i've got everything out ready just to check all ok & nothing else to get. These will be the first presents i've wrapped so far.
I did go into panic mode because i thought i had lost there christmas card ,found it in the spare room with some other bits. (silly me).
We are going to my parents next weekend for dad's birthday and will take everything up with us because we won't get to see them till after christmas.

What have I done? Squat. I do my shopping on one day and then wrap it all up on that one day to get it over with.. And saves me hiding the darned things too.

This year I am doing secret santa with my friends because there are so many of us we don't want to have to get gifts for everyone. So this is the cheapo option..

Just been prezzie shopping and bought some new gift tags - although I have plenty I didn't really like them (I know, why did I buy them? ) so I'm throwing those out and starting afresh.
I bought some brilliant Father Christmas slipper socks in Primark for my daughter - bright red and decorated with sewn on stockings .

Yay, I got my Christmas tree and lights today. I can't wait to put it up next weekend

We've decided to put the artificial tree up today as we'll be away in Paris next weekend for DH's birthday. This tree goes in the hall and is the designated Disney tree so I hope to post some photos in the not too distant future...

A few more prezzies arrived this morning - must start wrapping next week...
