Today is day 60 and I just did online check-in

but....i didn't know whether to choose the room I wanted or the part about having one available for early check in....

what do you guys do?

We drive through the night and get to Disney first thing in the morning so we like to have an early check in.

Thank you - I don't know how early we are going to get there because we are staying overnight in Savannah and driving in from there in the morning - but we will probably still be there early -

I just didn't know if early check in would truly override our other requests??

I know none of these things are guaranteed anyway but it never hurts to ask. We're driving overnight so we'll be arriving early and will definitely be wanting to get into our room. We'll probably be so exhuasted that early check in would be more important than the "perfect" location but of course we'd rather have the best of both options!

I was able to click on my preferences and then I also clicked on early check in - i think that it will probablly do the best available when you arrive?

We have so far to drive (24 hours) with two little ones so we are dividing it up over two days on the way down - just to alleviate grumpiness when we get there so it really doesn't matter what time we get there that day - we don't have park tickets for day 1 and we're just going to explore the resort and DTD so maybe i will cancel the early check in and go for the preferences, lol - ugh decisions decisions - I AM SOOOO LUCKY!

There was somewhere on there that I put a note saying what I would like. When we checked in (about 8 am, we were late) we got the room I had wanted! So I guess I did both somehow.....

Awesome! I was able to pick my preferences on one line so I picked highest floor and lake view (don't know if this is a good pick or not) and then on the next line it asked if I wanted a room available for early check in so I clicked this too ---- but on that line it said that if I wanted a room available early I might not be able to get my preferences --- I guess because early check in would mean we are lucky to get a room before real check in time so don't expect everything, lol

I think they are referring to the checkboxes where you tell them if you prefer a room that matches your requests OR I you prefer just A room that is ready when you get there.

Oh. Well that makes more sense. I was thinking it was like when you go on the Disney cruise and you select an actual number.
