Woody Toy? Worth the Money?

My DD13 is wanting a Toy Story playtime Sheriff Woody (wanting the toy that they never had when she was little). At Kmart it is listed as $39.99 but with savings $24.99- a total of $15 in savings (it is 16in tall). I was wondering if anyone has bought this and can say if it is worth the amount of money or not. Even if you haven't bought it and just have an opinion on what to do that would be wonderful. DD will be buying it and I do not want her to be wasting her money.

They have one that is 19.99 that does not talk. That is the one that we bought for our dd who is 4.

If it is what she wants I would let her get it. She is in that age range where having toys isnt cool but the heart says it is still fun.

Disney store had the yesterday for 20$. I am sure they talked (I could be wrong but, I really think they did). The had woody, jesse and buzz.

Yes--Disney store has a pull string Woody. Says about 5 phrases. Very cute and worth the money. I wouldn't pay $40 for something that is going to be dragged around the house. Disneystore.com also has it. It was $15 Thursday then back up to $20 last night. Free shipping with code, TOYSTORY.

If you don't want to get it for her yourself, I would let her buy it. I think it's sweet that she's 13 and still wants a toy. Most kids these days want to grow up too darn fast. Let her hold on to childhood a little bit longer.

My DDs have the talking Woody and Jessie- the are worth the money! My girls have had them for a while and still love them. The only thing that bugs me about them is that there in no way to make their hats stay on.

We have the one from then original movie that came out when DS was 3! He carried it around EVERYWHERE for two years. I have no clue what we paided for it back them but it was worth a million dollars! And yes it does look like it was carried around for two year but is packed away in you atic, and yes I cried like a baby when they were putting Andy's toys in the atic as DS is just Andy's age

DS got his when the first TS movie came out, he was 5. He goes off to college this August. That thing went everywhere. Even has Josh with a backwards J on the bottom of the boot. I say get it, how many more times will you really be asked to buy a toy once they turn 13?

My DD just got Woody, Jessie, and Buzz. The talking action figures. My complaints with them are:

1)Jessie's hat is RIDICULOUSLY large and too heavy for her head.
2)No complaints with Buzz he sounds just like Tim Allen and says like 25 different things!
3)Woody has a wonky eye, Andy is NOT written on the bottom of his foot like the other 2, and his voice doesn't sound anything like Tom Hanks. Even Jessie sounds like the real character.

Woody was a bit of a disappointment to me. We got all 3 directly from Disney. The Woody at Walmart sounded the same though but said phrases I don't remember from the movie. Neither the Buzz or Jessie from Walmart sounded like the real character.

I have to admit though, I LOVE it when Woody says "there's a snake in my boot!" because DD2 says "Oh no mommy, there is a snake in Woody's boot!" so that takes alot of the disappointment away
