Woo-hoo! Have booked DLH for November!

Hello, my fellow DLP enthusiasts!!! I am a tad excited today!!! Have just booked the DLH for 4 nights in mid-November.

Slight disappointment in that the swimming pool closes on the day we arrive for a few weeks but I doubt we'd have time to swim anyway. Am so excited I can barely concentrate on anything - I just want to spend the day devouring this forum and my DLP guidebooks. My daughter is going to melt with excitement! Though, of course, she won't understand that it's still 157 sleeps away.

Thanks so much for the advice on delaying our originally-planned October stay to book the DLH. I wouldn't have thought about it if you lovely guys hadn't told me all about the Christmassy theme and how wonderful it will be. I just want to be there doing it all and seeing it right NOW!!!

And breathe....... Phew. Think I'd better go and get a coffee to calm myself down.

Snap! We must be going the same day as you as I've just written down how many days to go on the calendar, for every day from now until then, so that the kids can stop asking me "how many days until we go?" and today is 157 to go for us too! Where did you find out about the pool? The official website only lists it being closed this June and doesn't mention further than that.

And don't worry about the pool. We've never had time for a swim!

Snap ..... and it took until our third trip before I forced us to make time!

The pool at the DLH closed for maintenance the day after we arrived last year so I went down to have a look on our arrival day to see if I fancied a swim and to be honest, it was a bit of a let-down so I chose not to bother. (From photos) I think the pools at the other hotels look much nicer so IMO you're not missing anything.
