My Mom asked what I wanted and we really don't NEED anything. I knew we were going to WDW in a couple of weeks so I said "What about Disney Dollars for a nice meal while there." So my Mom, totally not a Disney person at all found Disney Dollars and wrapped them up for me. So now I'll have a nice meal for a Christams gift!

I'd never seen Disney Dollars before. They are really pretty! :D

Aren't they fun??? I just love them. I would have liked to have received some for Christmas since our trip is in April. Oh well......
Congrats and have a nice dinner with them. :D

I have been using them as a way to save up for my last couple of trips.

I also collect the $1, because Disney changes the design every so often for special events like Mickey's 65th birthday, the Millenium Celebration, and the 100 Years of Magic. The 2005 $1 will feature Chicken Little, which is the first time a DD$ has been aimed specifically at marketing a Disney movie.

I love Disney dollars. I wish we could buy them here in Canada because I think it's a great, fun way to save for a trip.

Have a great meal with them.

We each got $20 in Disney Dollars from my sister. two $10's, and four $5's.
Yippee, going to DL in 4 weeks. Can't wait.

Disney dollars are great! My DH & I have both been with the same company for 20 years. They presented us with gift certificates to the local mall. The mall issues cards now that you cant just buy something little and cash so after we bought a couple of things we took the cards to the disney store and got Disney dollars with the rest! It was great. It paid for a couple of good meals at Disney last week!

Pardon a question from a "newbie", but where can you purchase Disney Dollars?

thanks. I remember them from when I went with my parents. They would be a great way to save ahead and to give the kids preset spending money. I'll check the Disney Store at the mall, :flower1: :flower1: :flower1:

I have been buying Disney Dollars for DS for the past few weeks, just $5 or so each time. He is almost 9, and every time he has a little cash he wants to spend it IMMEDIATELY. He isn't very interested in the things at the Disney Store in the mall, so this was my way of forcing him to save for the trip.

My mom, my sister, and my boss all gave him Disney Dollars for Christmas, and I took the check he got from some friends and turned that into Disney Dollars, too. He wasn't very happy about my strategy at first, but now he has $112 to spend at WDW! He will have some plain cash for pressed pennies and arcade games, but the bulk of his money will be Disney Dollars. And when his money is gone, it's gone! This will be a good lesson in budgeting.

I love Disney Dollars! We are lucky to live in a city that has a Disney Store in just about every mall, including the mall about a mile from our home! :cool1:

I received Disney Dollars too!! I have a couple of $1's with Chicken Little on them and one with Mickey and Epcot....from 2000. The $10 is from 1999. I do not think I want to spend them!! Does anyone have a list of the different designs from the past few years?

You can buy Disney Dollars from any Disney Store in the US, or from WDW Mail Order - (407) 363-6200, or at Guest Relations at WDW parks and resorts.

My daughter (3 in a week) got $115 in Disney Dollars for Christmas! We'll go in Sept. I think $115 for a 3 year old is a lot! But I know people gave them to us to help with our trip. But I'm sure we'll be buying our princess a lot of stuff with it! Every little bit helps!

I put them straight into my savings bucket that people talked about here. With my dollars saved, and my Disney dollars, and my Disney Visa Rewards Dollars, we shouldn't have to spend anything else the whole time there. :D

Between the kids and DH and myself we got $185 in Disney dollars as CHristmas presents! I love it because the kids really don't need anymore clothes or toys and they love buying their own souveniers at Disney.

Between DH, myself, and 3 DD's we got $1000.00 Disney Dollars!!! It helped that I told everyone that all we wanted for Christmas was Disney Dollars, and it seems as if everyone listened. :thewave:

I asked for Disney Dollars for Christmas and my Birthday, and my sister was told by a castmember at the store that they weren't going to have any Disney Dollars until Spring. Has anyone else heard this, or is it just the store by my house?

My in-law's gave my husband and I disney dollars as well. 50 dollars in tens!!! I was so excited. That was one of the best gifts we could get for our trip. We also gave our kids 10 each in their stockings and I have 50 dollars worth that i bought on my own. It is nice because the kids are building up their spending money, so that helps us out alot and our wallet as well and we are building up some as well. They are nice to have.

My girls got enough disney dollars from their grandparents to get their season passes for the year. Ours ran out in Oct and we knew we couldn't afford to renew them for awhile so getting theirs taken care of was a nice treat. Now just have to figure out how to get mine and hubbys, lol.
