When we get to Orlando in Jan we don't arrive til 1:30pm. So instead of blowing a day at a park, I was thinking about something that involved dinner. I found Wonderworks and Midevil times. My son really likes knights, etc so I thougt that would be cool, plus it is my birthday that day and heard sometimes they let you eat free on your birthday, if not a free dessert would be cool. On the other hand the Wonderworks looks cool for the hands on area for kids and the magic/comedy show with all you can eat pizza, salad and drinks. They are both close in price. Anyone have any comments on these?

We are doing the Wonderworks magic show. It looks fun because they involve the audience, esp. the kids! We haven't been to Midievel times, but we did go to Arabian Nights last year and that was a great show, but the dinner was:scared: gross.

If you want to leave off the Wonderworks admission and just do a dinner show which is what we are going to do for time reasons, it is only 21.99 for adults and 15.00 for kids. The show is supposed to be L.V. quality and the pizza is supposed to be great. They also have the worlds largest laser tag arena which would be fun.
Hope this helps:)

The wonderworks show was fantastic!!!! Very good magic and very funny with lots of audience participation. The food was ok - pizza, popcorn, salad, beer, wine & soda. It's not the best pizza I've had, but not the worst either.
We did the wonderworks as well as the dinner show and had a blast.

We did the Wonderworks Magic/Comedy show 2 years ago and everyone in our group (ages 5 - 72) had a great time. The food is just okay, but with 3 boys, all-you-can-eat pizza is heaven! The show had me laughing so hard I was crying - and that's not easy to do!

We went to Medieval Times this past Thursday - it was my 2nd time there. If you have someone really into knights, Renaissance period, etc. it's worth it. I don't plan to go back there, but I think everyone need their own opinion. And I do think you get in free if it's your birthday - check their website.

For the money, you can't beat the Wonderworks show!

Thanks for the comments. I guess I will leave it up to my son to pick between the 2.

Our family love the Medieval Times show. We see it here in Dallas. The horses are beautiful and the kids actually like the food - they get to eat with their hands.

I've never done Wonderworks, so now I have something to look forward to in a future trip!

We went to the Medieval Dinner when we were in California last week. All 8 of us had so much fun cheering our Green Knight. I didn't really think I would enjoy it...maybe it was because our Knight tossed me a flower, but I found myself cheering just as loud as everyone else in our section. :rotfl:

Food wasn't that bad. Soup was kinda blah, roasted chicken was good, rib was kinda dry, potato was good, bread was good, desert was blah. But we didn't really go for the food...we went for the show and were not disappointed.

We have done the comedy show for the past two years and my husband, daughter 10 and myself all loved it! The first time we saw it there were two guys doing it and it was "their" show so to speak. Last year when we went there were other performers doing it. It was also very good but husband and I preferred the first two guys. They did a signing of posters etc in the gift shop afterward and my daughter still has their poster hanging in her room. We asked what had happened that the venue changed but no one was offering up an answer...anyone know what happened? They also have a website to check it out and get discount coupons (you can also get the coupons in the what to do newspapers down there!) www.wonderworksonline.com[/U]. We'd recommend it highly to all ages!

I'm glad to hear that:) We've planned on going in Jan. after a day at SeaWorld. We are going to skip the WonderWorks attraction though, and just do the dinner show. We will be tired and just wanted to do something fun for dinner.
You said fun for all ages, do you also think 5 year olds would enjoy it? Thanks!

We went to Medieval Times last year in Orlando for my birthday. My dinner was free with the purchase of another adult meal. All I did was show my drivers license. They read the names off of everyone celebrating birthdays or anniversaries too. We all thought the food was good, and the show was outstanding. I would highly recommend it, especially for kids your boy's age. They can pose for pictures with the King and Queen, and after the show they can meet all the knights. It was great fun.
