While on disneyworld.com, it was made clear that our mysterious Wonders of Life Pavilion may have seen it's last days.

I didn't see this mentioned anywhere else on here, but it's true -- I just checked. Under the Epcot Attractions section, none of the attractions from WOL are listed. Even if you search specifically for WOL, Body Wars, etc..... it is as if they never existed. :confused3

Has anyone heard official announcements? Surely the disappearance of the official webpages for the attractions signals the impending doom of the Pavilion...... :scared:

Boo. Every time I go I hang on to hopes that it will be open..... I wonder what the times guide will say in December when we're there.....??

Unfortunately, it looks like you are right....I will really miss Cranium Command.....For some reason, I really liked that one.

Well, we will see what they will put in it's place.....hopefully something that isn't opened "seasonally"

Those attractions have been closed more than they have been open the last year or two. It's a shame but nothing we can do about it.

Them, hope they open up a great attraction to replace them.

I hope they replace it with something and not let it sit vacant like the soundstage is doing at MGM.

Why did they get rid of Wonders of Life? It was still fairly new compared to other attractions, and I always thought Body Wars was a popular ride. Plus they had awesome milkshakes there too.

I know it's just speculation at this point that WOL is no more, but the evidence does point that way. How does Disney decide issuses like that? Is it based on numbers of visitors to an attraction, or on sponsorship????

DH is a physician and I am a retired RN. WOL was always a favorite of ours because it focused on a "healthy lifestyle."

Oh, it was my favorite pavilion hands down. Like you, we are a med student and a nursing student and LOVED all of the things at WOL.

*sigh* what can you do?

The attractions in Future World at Epcot have corporate sponsors. The sponsor for Wonder of Life was MetLife. MetLife pulled out. Without the sponsor, I guess it is costly to maintain. Let's all email MetLife and request that they responsor Wonders Of Life!

We were just there last week, and what was really sad is that masses of people in the park walked right by where the building is, and never noticed it was there.

Why don't they put "Cranium Command" into the empty soundstage and solve 2 problems?

We also really missed seeing "The Making of Me" with Martin Short, which was a family tradition.

Maybe they could both of them into the space where the old Odyssey restaurant lurks, unused

So these attractions are closed right now? That's a bummer, my daughter was really looking forward to them. And Crush is closed starting the day we get there. Is there any thing left in Future world to do but the GM Test Track and Soarin?

There's also Spaceship Earth; the Dinosaurs with Ellen and Bill Nye the Science Guy; Mission Space--which has an awesome team game in the after section; Honey I Shrunk the Audience; the Land boat ride, and last but not least the Unholy mess which is the Figment attraction. Plenty to do.

That's really sad. I was looking forward to Cranium Command. For some reason I liked it and was hoping to show to my DBF. Ugh why does Disney do these things to us??

There is still plenty to do, and - let's face it - when was the last time we went to WDW and actually got to do/see WOL?

Silly MetLife.... you'd think, though, that someone would jump right in. With the health craze of today, it seems like it would be so easy to get a corporate sponsor. No health care company, etc could pick it up at hardly a cost to them? Boo.

We'll all still have fun, though :) If nothing else, more time in World Showcase, which - in our trips - ALWAYS gets shafted as we spend too much time in Future World. Maybe I'll finally see more of those street performances..... ::smiles::

WoL was my favorite FW pavillion. CC was awesome & the interactive exhibits were fun. I don't understand how Disney "can't afford" to keep it open without a sponsor. They are making an awful lot of money off us to cry broke. I also don't understand the lack of sponsors they're having for WoL & for SE either tho.

Oh well. It is what it is......

I didn't realize they lost their sponsership. I find it very hard to believe that Disney couldn't afford to run and maintain the ride. I'm sure they had some other reasons as well. Not all rides have sponsers.

Hmmm....isn't Spaceship Earth without sponsor as well since AT&T pulled out? That hasn't closed but maybe because it's the EPCOT symbol??

It may be true that Disney could afford it, but it is a business decision for them. Having WOL closed has certainly not hurt park attendance. Disney profits for last quarter were way up.

It is true that not all rides have sponsors. Even though AT&T pulled out of Spaceship Earth, I don't think Disney would ever consider closing that ride. It is the first thing encountered as you enter the park. It is also a huge icon for Disney. Most of the other rides in future world have corporate sponsors.

The last time we did WOL we found everything to be dreadfully outdated. Though I love craniium cammand it is definately 80's film clips--harem pants tucked into socks with high top sneakers and really big hair. I think they should keep it but reshoot the surrent script with "up to date" people. The building was musty smelling and most of the equiptment int he Goofy section was inoperable. It is a shame, but that space could be used to house a wonderful updated WOL or a whole new attraction. Even with the crowds in summer and in February of this year it still was not open.
