Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has been to the Wonderland Tea Party recently. I compromised with my daughter that she could go to the tea party in place of going to 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. She is now 7. Do you think she is too old for the experience? She loves Alice and the Mad Hatter. :confused3

Also, does anyone know what they get at the party? Someone told me they got to keep the placemat, but I thought I read on the boards that they do not.

My DD went last year when she was almost 7 and she had a great time at the tea party. They got to play games with Alice and the Mad Hatter which she said were really fun. They had their picture taken with Alice and the Mad Hatter which is put in to a signed cardboard frame. They also get flowers to give their moms when you come to pick them up.

My daughter just turned 8 and went to this last week when we were there! She had a great time! She said it was a lot of fun, and exciting! She said it was amazing how much stuff they did in the hour, and it was crazy because the Mad Hatter was so funny!

Cost was around $40 US. Most girls there were dressed in tea party attire (dresses - especially princess dresses) but a few (mine included) were in shorts 'n tee.

Hosted by Mad Hatter and Alice; they have tea (apple juice) and a cupcake which they decorate, they play follow-the-leader through the hotel and hide-and-seek, do a craft (decorate a mug to hold fresh flowers), have a picture with the two characters, which is in a signed, keepsake frame.

FYI: this tea party is for kids only; parents are not welcome to stay.

My daughter has been twice and loved it both times. She was 7 the first time and 8 the second time. She would go again in a heartbeat, but we don't have a day planned for it on our fall trip.

It's something she should do at least once in her life!

My daughter did tea party i was dissapointed only photo i got was with Alice & mad hatter with Alice bad red eyel left a camera with my daughter but no one took photos did ask but they didnt do it :cool1::cool1:

Yeah, it KILLED me that I couldn't come in and hide in a corner to take pictures from afar. My daughter did bring a picture home, and I feel for you if that one wasn't very good. I also sent a camera with my 8 year old and they did take a picture, but only one (see below, my daughter and her friend with Alice and the Mad Hatter).

For us I finally decided that it was all about the fun she had, and as a photo-obsessed mom, that was really hard for me!
