Wondering the best way to handle the 7 mo window?

Hi!
I am a new BWV owner and I was wondering if you all could answer a few questions for me....

I have a BWV studio reserved for Oct. 9th thru the 13th. I love BWV but I thought it would be fun to try a different resort. (We were at BWV 10/06 and we will be there 10/08) MY first choice of a different resort to try would be BC. I realize this is probably a longshot.

MY question is about the best way to check for availability. Do I call day by day and risk loosing my BWV ressie? Do I wait until March 13th (the end of the ressie) and check?

Does anyone think a 1 bedroom may be available? Do you think BC will be totally reserved for this time? How about VWL? That is another great resort I wouldn't mind trying.

Oct is busy bec of F & W festival, If you have enough/extra points i believe you can make another ressie to a diff resort at the same time, or you can do day by day, call on Mar 10 for your Oct 9th for BVC(if its avai.) but keep the Oct10-13 in BWV(so you dont loose your ressie) then you call the next day for your Oct 10th and so on until you get the days wanted i think this is better than waiting til Mar 13th to check for availability, you'll have more chances of getting what you want if you do one day ressie at a time, Also, studios are hard to get, Again, if you have extra points take the 1Br if thats whats available when you call. Oh by the way, right now im doing day by day and so far i got 3 days out of 6 i'll still be calling MS for the next 3 days to finish my booking. Good Luck!

Last Oct. 5-9 I called at 7 mos and switched from BCV to VWL. You just never know. I'd say call at the 7 mos date and try for the whole thing. Will you be really bummed if you can't get it-if so try day by day.

If you have enough points to hold the BWV studio will booking the first few days at BCV. If not, you can call day by day and make the BCV reservation canceling the corresponding night at BWV to use those points.

I called MS today and booked 9/26-10/2 at BCV. I booked a 2 bedroom. I did it all in one shot, so if I couldn't get exactly that resort, I could try a different one and not waitlist. It was not a problem at all. Good luck!!

My favorite time of the year to go is in October. I have always booked at the 7 month window and so far I have not had a problem. I own at HH and SSR but I love to try the different resorts. Going to OKW next month for the first time and plan to try VWL next year!

I changed a BCV studio to a 1 Bedroom for Sept 29 at the 7 month mark and had no problem. Good luck.
