What is the Wonderful World of Memories Store like at Downtown Disney??? What do they carry for products?? I am sure someone has asked this before but I am new here and was just wondering....

Can't wait until our first family trip to Disney in July and wanted to visit the store. Just wondering how much money I should save for the store... :)

Thanks

They don't carry much! I can get a better selection at home in Michaels or the Rag Shop. But I'll try to think what I saw (and purchased):

- Different albums. I bought the leather one. The cardboard style (sorry I'm sure it has a name), while they do have cute designs, seems like a rip off at $28.
- Punches, punches and more punches
- Stickers (I'd buy these for my DD to play with and not to scrap with but that's just me)
- 12x12 Paper packs with different themes (princess, pooh, mickey, etc.)
- I bought little Mickey Mouse eyelets (cute)
- Mickey Mouse paper clips (cute again)
- I also bought a stamping set that I think is designed for kids but I liked the stamps from the different parks. It had SE, Tree of Life, Castle and I think the hat(?). It also had the main characters and a stamp pad and pencils. I'll use the park themes and maybe some main characters the rest is for my daughter and will use the Stampin' Up ink pads.

They had alot of different art pads and sets for kids. Scrapbooking section is woefully thin. Of course this didn't stop me from going back a second time! :flower: I really think that they could do a much better job because scrappers will buy almost anything anytime. Its a horrible addiction.

THANK YOU!! I already purchased two of everything CM has to offer for Disney (two daughters). I also purchased stickers for the countries at Epcot with coordinating papers. I have a Michaels near me and purchase supplies there as well and they have quite a few Disney items. I will visit the Wonderful World of Memories store but thank you for not getting my hopes up too much. I am sure to find quite a bit that I will love (and purchase) I am sure.

Thanks again!

I agree with Eeyore'sthebest...selection is on the slim side, but there are some cute things! However, nearly everything Scrapbooking item in that store can be found at other locations on property. In fact, I found that Pop Century's gift shop had some SB'ing items that I had not found anywhere else! Including some letter stickers on sale. Bottom line: it's fun to go to the store, but keep your eye out around the parks and resorts too.

Good tip! I am always on the lookout for great scrapbooking stuff!!! My husband says I have built in stamp and scrapbook radar :)

I agree that you should check out the stores in the parks. I found a lot of stuff at the Emporium on Main Street. I got the 2004 Album that had Fireworks on the cover and in the center of the bursts, there was a fram that you put a picture. The only other Albums I've bought were CM, so $28 seemed like a deal! :rotfl2: I found stickers of the logos for each park and sitckers of the character signatures. My DD was too little to care about siggies. ;)

Not a CM scrapper so I'm the QVC deal gal!
And the leather one was only $32!!! Great deal to me. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
