I'd like to say that they give you special powers, or special privileges, but really they're only a souvenir of the cruise, and may help you identify another DISBoard cruiser.

However, my DW and I have two we got on the 2010 WBTA cruise, and as they glow in the dark, we take them with us when we travel, and use them to identify the bathroom door in a hotel or on a cruise at night.

Hey! How about this: Anyone who takes one undertakes to distribute pixie dust to someone else on this cruise? It can be a CM, another DISBoarder, or just anyone. What do you think? I'm big on pixie dust, have being on the receiving end on previous cruises.

Hi all! I am in the process of ordering wristbands, which will be distributed during the cruise Meet 'N Greet, sometime on the first sea day / second day of the cruise. I've got a count of how many people there are in the facebook group, now I'm trying to get a sense of who else might be there that might want wrist bands. Below is a list of DISBoard names that I believe are people NOT on the facebook group, but who have posted here. This list is longer than the list of people who are members of the facebook group. Please let me know if: (a) you are on this list (b) you are NOT in the facebook group, and (c) you do want wristbands. To be clear, if you are a member of the facebook group, then you do not need to reply, even if your DISBoard name is listed below. Please reply before the end of next weekend (i.e., no later than July 28th). Thats an awesome idea in how to find the bathroom in your cabin or in a hotel room. Would have never thought of that. Might have to try that when my Mom and I take our road trip next year.

Great info to have. Consider we are sailing at a later date than you did back than, I would say sunrise will be somewhat later and sunrise earlier. Which might play into our favor.

Some Cognac sure can be harsh, but I would say in general Whisky is probably bit harsher, Cognac tends to in my experience to be a sweeter less peaty (smokey) version of Whisky. I rather drink Whisky or a fine Tequila than Cognac (because most Cognac's are fruity and sweet) but I do enjoy a good Cognac from time to time, especially with a fine cigar.

Agree tho on best way to try it out, pickup one of those 3oz bottles most places have by the counter.

BTW for best enjoyment of a really good cigar you dip the end of the cigar into the Cognac, just be forewarned repeated dipping and smoking of the cigar will get you very drunk (your drinking 80 proof through your lungs basically LOL).

I would be very interested in joining your photo walks with my wife! I have registered in the google doc form for you. I am experienced semi professional / experienced photographer and would be more than happy to assist you on the walks. I have plenty of experience with teaching people with their gear and suggestions on how to get the best out of the opportunities, if this would be of any assistance to you! It may allow you to cope better with larger groups!
