I was reading other threads discussing the fall of humanity (not so dramatic, I know) and wanted to relay the wonderful acts of humanity that I have witnessed this week. My very DH is is the process this week of donating stem cells to an unknown 30 year old man with leukemia. We are currently in Washington DC where we have met 5 other people who are doing the same thing. These guys (just so happens that they are all guys) have given up a week to fly to DC and go through this process. For 5 days they receive injections that can cause some pretty painful side effects so that they can then donate stem cells to help someone else. So, while I know we all see things that make us wonder, I want everyone to know that there is still plenty of good out there.
