Monday morning we had PALO Brunch with Patrick and Diane (TARTANFAN, another DIS-Friend, we had also PALO High Tea with them)
FOTO HIGH TEA WITH DIANE AND PATRICK
They come from Europe as well (UK) and we got to become friends even before our Cruise, exchanging emails every week. Nicole, their sweet daughter, had her first evening gown for the Formal Nights of our Cruise she looked like a princess!
We all met many times during the week and had lot of fun; we promised to keep in touch until next year
most likely we will be in Orlando in the same period again
During the Monday Brunch the Captain announced that, due to a new possible hurricane in the Caribbean (Earl), Grand Cayman visit had to be skipped; we were heading towards Cozumel to be reached in the evening. Due to the change of itinerary (Monday was supposed to be at sea, while in the evening we were at Cozumel), the formal night was shifted from Monday to Tuesday. I had an appointment for hair dressing on Monday afternoon (Monday was supposed to be the formal night, while on Tuesday we had planning the Dolphins excursion in Cozumel). With the new scheduling I had, in this order
1) Hair Dressing
2) Swim with dolphins
3) Formal Night
Not very convenient for my look
So I asked to have hair dressing moved on Tuesday after the dolphins
; fortunately there was room enough (lot of people never reached the ship) and my booking was moved.
Later in the evening the schedule changed again now the formal night was on Thursday so hair dressing was changed again on Thursday
no problem with that
Mexicalifragilistic party was moved on Monday evening. No need to say that people attire was random
ranging from Formal wear (wasnt Monday formal evening?
) to bathing suit (what hell are doing all these people dancing on the swimming pool?
)
including lot of people with travel clothes: lot of luggage was missing due to airport mess
So the old / new schedule was the following
Monday was supposed to be formal at sea, while we docked in the evening at Cozumel and got the Mexicalifragilistic party.
Tuesday was supposed to be casual at Grand Cayman, while we have been Semi-Formal at Cozumel
Wednesday was expected to be Cozumel, with Mexicalifragilistic party and now it was a day at sea
Thursday, supposed to be semi-formal at sea, become formal at Nassau.
What a mess
! Of course on board shows and activities were shuffled too: e.g. PALO Brunch and High Tea planned on Thursday were moved to Wednesday.
NO NEED TO SAY THAT, NEVERTHELESS, WE HAD A WONDERFUL CRUISE AND LOT OF FUN.
(to be continued again)
