Time go reach Wilderness Lodge and check-in..
While entering WL the soundtrack of the Magnificent Seven was playing I felt at home it was looking like entering in my screensaver
We got an upgrade to a courtyard room, 3107 (third floor), first room after the elevator, first room after the vending machine, after the ice, after the stairs; it s the first room of the south wing; one floor of stairs and we were just in front of Humphrey and the Mercantile . An excellent room near to everything
VIEW FROM ROOM 3107 AT CHECK-IN
And the view was nice too at least before Charlie

No much time to enjoy the hotel (yet), we have to return the AVIS car at the Hilton, just outside the Disney Marketplace.
Dinner time: we tried the Earl of Sandwich the new eatery specialized in sandwiches
DH got an Hawaiian sandwich, with ham and pineapple delicious (he said
)
enough for today
its time to go to sleep
Jet lag still to be recovered!
August 1st; Sunday and DIS-day
Meeting with MAGICINMYHEARTH (Beckie) and family! How nice to meet in person somebody so friendly and helpful on the board in the planning phase. We got a nice chat, a few pictures and a yummy breakfast at Whispering Canyon.
We had lot of fun and now we know what to expect in case somebody needs straws, ketchup or grape jelly
The following two weeks were our escape from the real world. We dont rush to park attractions, but just want to feel the atmosphere and relax. Every day we had a couple of hours in a park early in the morning (taking advantage of early entrance) and a couple of hours in the evening, leaving the hot part of the day for naps or relax ; we managed to have a sit down restaurant per day.
We had our first experience at the Trial End (Fort Wilderness), for sure the best value for money of all WDW (an all you can eat buffet for just 9.99 $ and with an additional AP discount!); we had lot of fun at Chef Mickey and at the 50 Prime time Café. We got a Fantasmic Dinner at Hollywood and Wine (all you can eat buffet + preferred seating at Fantasmic with no line, for the price of a normal dinner).
We also learnt
not to leave breakfast unattended on the WL balcony
our breakfast was enjoyed by a raven (Snowhite raven?) who thought this was HIS breakfast
fortunately we were near the vending machine
