WONDER - Who's Sailing on October 19, 2003 - Let's get the roll call started!

I received my docs today- now it feels official! I'll be cruising with DD(25). This is my 4th Disney cruise (2 Wonders and 1 Western Magic). I've also sailed Norwegian and Celebrity. It will be DD's first cruise. We're at the Swan 1 day pre-cruise and then back to the Dolphin until Oct 26.

Doing the Happy Dance - the documents came yesterday. Both my sister and I got them on the same day. Now it is real! But I started to look at the plans and I have so many things lefT to do, get the limo, arrange pre-night and post-night transportation, oh and that small thing called packing. I do it all for my nieces and nephew to make sure it is all ironed. I will start this weekend and my sister will pack for herself and start the night before. Some people do not know what it means to be a compulsive planner!

My nephew is getting excited, he is already making his plans for being in the kids clubs for all the fun things. He said he might only see us at night, after midnight, when he comes back to the room. Did not want to burst his bubble that at 9 he will not have that kind of freedom. But we all can dream, it is their vacation too.

Can't wait to meet some new friends on this cruise!!!!!!

We're planning on taking a cab to Atlantis and also probably staying on the ship in Freeport.

Well the final countdown is about to begin. Has anyone started their packing yet? I have the kids clothes all laid out but I have some ironing left to do and the last minute check list to make sure I don't forget the film, snorkel gear and busy items for the plane. The list is growing each day. My nieces and nephews all hand me stuff and say, "I'll thake this on the ship and that on the ship".

So is everyone else all ready to go??????

My husband and I are taking our first cruise... we're staying at the CBR for 3 days before...

Has anyone been blessed by the upgrade fairy for this cruise?

We're beginning to get very excited, me more than him. I've already gotten the little things packed. Hubby hates when I pack ahead, for some reason it really bothers him, he'd rather wait until the day we leave to put his stuff in a bag.

Hello ofiesty4u:

We are in Metuchen. My sister and her husband pack the day before we leave, but that drives me crazy. So I pack for all the kids. We did not get an upgrage but at doing a Cat 3 because my Mom is handicapped and needs the room and cannot get into the bathtubs. So this room has a walk in shower that if flush with the ground. Thanks Mom for paying!!!!

Hi neighbor! My husband will pack the morning of a trip, I really REALLY hate that... I like to be ahead of the game where as he will mosey along with packing.

I'm one of those last minute packers. But I only have to pack for myself, so there's not that much involved. DD lives in VA (she's a MD in her first year of Family Practice residency in Newport News). So she'll be meeting me in FL.
We're in a Cat 11 on Deck 7. I've never got an upgrade but I'm quite happy with our cabin location. I've been in the same area on my previous cruises.
I'm starting the "No Rain Dance" now, to give Mother Nature enough time to make sure we have great weather:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

What is the difference between locations of rooms on different decks?

I've never cruised before, so I wouldn't know a good deck if it decked me!

We've got an inside cabin toward the back of the ship on Deck 7. There's a small outside deck there that is a great place to go to get outside without having to go up to Deck 9. Other people have their favorite decks, but I've been happy on Deck 7. Actually, I'm happy just to be on the ship;)

Different categories are on different decks. Some people like to be further down on a ship, say Deck 2. They feel there is less rocking. Others like to be up high. Rooms are on Deck 6, 7 and 8. I have stayed on all three levels and have been happy every time. I find all the decks have something that is convenient to get to from where you are. Our last trip we were in the front on Deck 8 and sister could run up to the spa all day with just one flight of stairs. Another time we were in the back and it was so convenient for many dinners and the buffet at BBB. I have never noticed a difference between the front and back, but I like the rocking motion when I am trying to go to sleep. I agree with KarenNY, that secret deck off of Deck 7 is delightful and hardly anyone is ever out there.

Here's to having a WONDERful October 19th sailing!!!!!

Hi fellow cruisers! I'm Wink's mom and it is our first cruise. I have thought of NOTHING else ever since we booked. I have one bedroom full of stuff to take...clothes, cameras, batteries, duct tape! We are driving from the Cleveland area. We have a stateroom adjoining Wink's on deck 6. :wave2:

We're on Deck 2 I believe... didn't specify a preference, now all I can picture are the third class passengers on the Titanic down there with the rats! I'm sorry, the only rodents I want to see are :earsboy: :earsgirl: ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Hello everyone, 2 weeks from today we will be onboard. I am so excited!!! I am so looking forward to this! Patsy:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I have been so excited for the last six months I think my family is sick of me. Even my 6 yo niece stated Saturday night during her 3:00 am chat with me, "Why are you so overboard with excitement, we have weeks to sail, maybe months away?" She thinks I am the only one in the family who can't wait to go. I sure hope they start getting excited this week!

ofiesty4u Just come here and we'll bring you back up. I talked to my DD last night and she's finally getting excited about the cruise. Although she hasn't had too much time to think about it. She's been really busy on an OB rotation (1st year medical resident). I'm hoping she gets some good relaxation time in on this vacation.

YAY! He has his moments... but I guess my excitement is a little too much for someone who procrastinates whenever he gets the chance. We haven't been planning very long, just went to the travel agent in July, apparently that's too soon for him to get excited.

He just better not burst my bubble during this trip.

I guess that is why we have this secret club called the "DIS" for all of us who over plan, and get excited months in advance. I have been planning this cruise for 18 months since we postponned it last November.

My family likes to do it at the last minute. My sister does not even know what day she is leaving yet, where the suitcases are and what she will pack. They don;' even have transportation to and from the port. Neither her or her husband are panners.

I have all the clothes for the kids all layed out all over my house for months. This week I am ironing all the items and then starting the packing. One niece is already packed and tonight I will pack for my nephew. I have my Mom's clothes all set aside, she brought her last two pairs of shorts yesterday. Oh, I have to get my clothes laid out, oh no, more stress. But what a wonderful feeling that is when you are 13 days from sailing!
