Has anyone stayed in them on deck 5? Have you noticed they are noisy? Being right next to the kids club and above public areas on deck 4, I'm just curious if they are a bit noisy. And does anyone have a picture? Just curious thanks!

I've stayed in both 5522 and 5020 and didn't notice any excessive noise. Once when we were in 5013, in the same area, we happened to skip dinner and we heard a bit of the nightly show below us (likely the ending/applause). It wasn't bothersome but we did hear it. Under normal circumstances you would probably be at either dinner or the show during the show times.

This is the view from 5522.

Thank you! That is good to know, I think we are going to try for one but I am a bit apprehensive about location. but if that is the only thing you have noticed, awesome! and i do love how big the window is :)

I was in a secret porthole 5022 on the Magic before its revamp (so it'd be the same as the Wonder) - and I am very picky about noise...I thought it was a wonderful location. Very quiet (except for occasional noise through the adjoining door but that's the case for any adjoining room)
Loved being able to scoot down one flight and hang out in the blue padded deck chairs.
I think you'll like the location! Good luck!

I haven't stayed in a secret porthole room on deck 5, but I have been on that deck.
I was concerned about noise as well, buy it was a VGT rate, so you get what you get.
We happened to be traveling with our grandkids for that trip, so we were really close to clubs. It worked out great, never bothered by any noise.
I would stay on that deck again for sure.

Have fun!

We stayed in 5520 several times and loved it. Now we are deck two all the time.
Yeah, deck 2 for me also. I believe the deck 2 porthole cabins - at least at the front or back - are cheaper than the "secret porthole" ones on deck 5. Perhaps the deck 5 secret porthole cabins were a better deal when they were first reclassified?!

Sshh...deck 5 is the best kept secret and we need to keep it that way :teeth: 5014...that's my cabin on the Wonder and the Magic. Have both of them booked in the next year.

We have stayed in one on both the Wonder and Magic. Didn't have any noise issues. Very convenient to the kids clubs etc... Would stay in one again for sure.

Yes, they were.

We stayed in one when we were upgraded because of a problem on deck 2 (inside stateroom). I did not notice any noise at all. The view was great. It was def obstructed, but not so much that we didn't have a nice view. I liked the proximity to the elevators too. :)

When I cruised in 5022 it was categorized as an inside room (category 10) and was definitely cheaper than any category 9...so that isn't true now? 10 on deck 5 is more than a 9 on deck 2? wow...

Yes, now at least every time I've looked the 10A is more expensive than a 9B or 9C on deck 2. It is less expensive than the porthole cabins on deck 5, 6 or 7. This may vary on other cruises, but has been this way for all the ones I've checked. I was so excited the first time I saw a 10A secret porthole available, but then when I saw it would cost more than an unobstructed porthole on deck 2, I chose deck 2.

I have no experience with it anymore but that is what I have read here. Once we found deck 2 we didn't care to book SPH rooms.
