Wonder November 23-27, 2005

We had a great time. Last cruised on the Wonder in 2002 and there were several changes. The Pirate Party up on deck the evening of the day at sea was lots of fun, culminating in fireworks being blasted off the starboard side! There is a sports bar, Diversions, on deck 3 forward, and a coffee bar for adults, Cove Cafe, on deck 9, midship. There is a new show, The Golden Mickeys, which celebrates some of the famous Disney cartoon characters. There were lots of families on board celebrating Thanksgiving and everyone seemed to be having a great time. The weather was beautiful each day, and just perfect for Castaway Cay. We didn't take any shore tours because we've been to Nassau several times, but we enjoyed walking off the ship and going along Bay Street, looking at the stores. The holiday decorations are up on the ship and on Castaway Cay, and just beautiful. Our only regret was that the cruise was over so soon.

Nice to meet you onboard - we could have a separate DIS meet of the early risers! And coffee drinkers!

We didn't do any shore excursions either. Walked around Nassau, took a horse drawn carriage ride and tour for $10 per person, and made it back to the ship for lunch. This cruise was a good one to take it easy - the weather alone was a treat!

Can you tell me what, if anything, they did for Thanksgiving? Any special menus? Also, we were thinking of not doing an excursion in Nassau. We were just going to walk around, then take a cab to Atlantis to check it out. Will that be okay?
