Finally back into the grind at home after our first cruise on Disney Wonder Nov 4th and it was awesome.:D I was a little concerned regarding seasickness for myself and my 7 yr old son but none of us had any problems and hardly noticed the motion at all. Check in at terminal was very organized and it didn't seem like much of a wait until we were boarding the ship. Kids were very excited as were my husband and I and everything went smoothly. Had packed a day bag as after reading the disboards and getting alot of excellent advice, knew the kids would want to hit the pool right away. So after a wonderful buffet lunch at Beach Blanket Buffet it was off to the pool. There was hardly anyone at the Mickey Pool yet so my kids were quite happy to miss the crowd. My husband & I sampled there tropical drink special and settled in to relax and enjoy the sunshine. We had booked a category 12 statement room and had been upgraded to a category 10 inside 1065. The accommodations were wonderful however there was a loud noise which sounded like hydraulics at various times, especially at night which caused us to wake up frequently. We were given ear plugs after mentioning this to the front desk staff and they were unsure as to what the noise would be coming from after investigation. The kids loved the oceaneers lab and we liked the free time. We had wonderful servers and were thoroughly impressed with the service we received. Took in some shopping on Nassau only to discover that some perfume and crystal that I purchased were cheaper at Costco but it was nice to look around. The only downfall to the entire cruise was the rain day which happened to fall on our visit to Castaway Cay. We had booked parasailing and the jet ski eco tour and both had been cancelled. A few people ventured to the beach area, more coming out in the afternoon. However it was overcast and the water was cool so we mainly just checked out the beach. Cookies BBQ was awesome and we couldn't help but wish the clouds would break and the sun would come out but unfornately the drizzle continued throughout the day. Disney was very accommodating with the rain and even had another showing of the Incredibles which was great for some of the people that were unable to attend the previous day. All in all the cruise was the highlight of our holiday. So much so that we booked a 7 day Western for 2006. Can hardly wait.:Pinkbounc
