Hi all - I am so excited for this cruise. This will be our families first Disney cruise, and I have heard so much about it - I cant wait.

Welcome to the group! We have some great people in this group. I know we have a while to wait, but I can't wait. So far we have 10 cabins signed up for FE with a total of 21 people. Have a great weekend everyone.

We're in the same boat as you! (So to speak). We turn Gold on our cruise in April. This will be our first B2B cruise as well. Im really looking firward to it, but ive also got some great Disney trips planned in between to help the strain!

Hi everyone! Just found this page! I just got back for a 7 night Eastern Caribbean on the Fantasy and have been hooked on DCL! Of the 6 cruise lines I've been on now, Disney is way above the rest!

Now I'm already booking my next DCL and it's this nice little weekend cruise! As I was putting away my FE gifts I saw the Dis board logo on one of the gifts and figured I'd check on here!

Looking forward to cruising on Disney again!

Now I just have to read through 18 pages of posts for this thread. hehehe

We go on the Eastern Caribbean next month What did you do in port? We have excursions booked but are always looking at our options. This (Baja cruise) will be our 4th with DCL adn we just love it.

Did St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Castaway. In St. Maarten I did the 12 metre regatta; in St. Thomas, the champagne catamaran snorkel and sail to St. Johns; and in Castaway, the wave runners and parasailing.

We just booked the 2N & 3N out of San Diego as well. We live in Orange County and are thinking to take Amtrak instead of driving. Any concern with train traveling the morning of embarkation? In the past, we usually fly in 2 days before cruise in case of flight delay or cancellation.

DW and I are booked for this cruise and 2 nights before it! Just got off the Wonder recently on the Alaskan cruise and can't wait to be back on board, hopefully some of the awesome crew we met will be back in May! We would also love to join the FE group for both sailings!

I would plan on coming down on the earliest train possible. I travel to Disneyland quite often on the surf liner, and it is usually on time, but accidents, track work etc could put you hours behind schedule. I just took the train through LA to Arizona and the return train was more than 3hours late into LA due to a problem passenger (we had to wait 2hours for the Sheriff, then another hour for a freight train to pass, as we were now late and freight had the green light). Or come into town the night before and do some sightseeing

How's everyone doing? The FE list is at 11 cabins. We are slowly growing. I still have not told DH about this trip (it's been really hard), but I want this to be a surprise so mums the word. Haha if we could make the other group secret then I could join but I know that would make it hard for people to join cause they would not be able to see the page. Well keep me posted, I'm so excited I can't wait!

I would love for us to do an FE. I would love to also help, EXCEPT I've only participated in one but never organized one.

My only suggestion is that because the cruise is so short and it would be difficult to cover several cabins...maybe keep the group sizes fairly manageable (limit to ten cabins). I've read about how some FE groups do several subcategories like a cabin gift, candy exchanges, separate gifts for individual persons, etc. That seems overwhelming.

What does everyone think?

We just came off of the WBTA. It was 14 days long and plenty of time for anything and everything. This one is a bit shorter than that and I believe that a FE with groups of no more than 10 cabins should be fine. You could probably do more cabins if you grouped the list by cabin number. If anyone wants to plan for any other exchanges, go for it but since we are limited to 5 nights, people may want to just relax. There were so many things to choose from during the WBTA that my list of things to do was pretty long BEFORE I even touched the deck of the ship. That won't happen this time. I believe our FE group was 22 cabins and that was quite doable in about 30-45 mins.

That's a great idea about having a 10 cabin minimum for the FE groups. We are still a ways out, so I won't set it for sure yet because if we only get 15 cabins participate those 5 will be short 5. I hope that makes sense, once we have at least 20 cabins I will make it 2 groups of 10cabins. I hope you all are okay with this. Let me know what you think.
