As I lay there last night agonizing over our dining choices, where to go, what day - worried about the hours....my DH was fast asleep not a care in the world. This monring he helped me get the girls ready so I could be in my office before 7 to start calling and on my way out the door I said any special requests....he said "yes, Ohana!" so other than that he has no worries of making dining plans...

I just wonder...I know many have DH's that help call in on other phones...but how many men do you think are calling in with the plans!!

(*now I know there are guys who do call....but I would bet the majority of callers are women!)

Even though my DW is a WDW fanatic like me  , I am the planaholic and do all the calling - reservations, dining, ect. We both pick the restaurants and then I do the rest. :)

My wife has no interest in planning trips, meals, etc.

I am the vacation planner of the family. I agonize over every detail, spend hours upon hours online figuring out the best things to plan, more time laying it out in a schedule and on the phone with reservations.

My wife and kids appreciate it and have enjoyed every vacation because of it.

So, I am one man who has called Disney Dining dozens of times getting things organized.

My husband could careless where we eat, as long as we eat some where. He eats anything, not picky at all. Of course he did pick up my passporter and mentioned, "hey, you know you are in the 90 day mark, you absolutely have to get on that phone and make our reservations!" Then proceeded with "What you have nothing planned for Tuesday yet! I gave him the evil eye and told him to back away from the book. I have left print outs of the menus everywhere, I knew he would read them (by the recliner, in the bathroom etc.) Still have no clue where he wants to eat. But like he said, with 3 kids, we better have a reservation somewhere!!!

Ditto to the two posts above. Same goes for me.

I always do it for our group of nine....our family of four plus our best friends--just as close as family, really--who are a group of five. I enjoy every minute of it!!

Like Steve Hurley, DH is the planoholic. He's the one on the phone at 6:59am for AP rates, he's the one who's on hold making the reservations.

We go thru the restaurants together, we pick the times together, but he takes care of the phone calls. I get to just see the itinerary when it's done. :teeth:

With a name like "DizGeek" who do you think does the plans? Me or my wife?

I even make a lamanted itinerary for all of us.....including wallett sized ones!

I do everything for the our vacaions. I make the ADR's, room ressies, plan the days. My GF doesnt' do any of that. She is not a huge disney fan like me. I could go there 10 times a year but she wont let me :)

My DH and I both do the planning, but he (FSUMARCHIEF) does all the calling! Called last night, as a matter of fact, to make our room ressies for January! :goodvibes

My husband prides himself on being clueless about where we vacation. He only wants enough info to know what kind of clothes to pack and the dates so he can block it off on his schedule.

I remember once on the way to the beach in Florida, we stopped in Orlando for the Belz tent sale. He was sitting somewhere waiting for the rest of us and struck up a conversation with a secuity guard. The guard ask where we were headed and my husband couldn't even tell him the city.

:confused3

I have to say that my wife always pokes fun at me for being so obessive over the planning, but is very quick to compliment me when our daughter is having a blast at CRT dining with the princesses. "I'm glad you are the one who gets up before sunlight to make these reservations..."

No wonder why National Lampoon's Vacation is one of my favorite movies :)

That is so funny swilshire! It is hard to believe another husband participates less in planning a vacation than mine!:) My DH knows we are going to Disney but that is it. I do everything else. I pick the rooms , ADR, shows, side trips kids activites, etc. He just relaxes and follows. Then he tells everyone how "we " have going to Disney down pat because "we" know how to plan everything. LOL I just hope I don't get run over by a bus ...he wouldn't know anything about our DVC or ressies or anything!

When we were getting married I asked him to read the guide book to the island we were going to on our honeymoon. He swore to me that he had read it. I knew he really hadn't and when we vacationed there I told him that we should go to this great beach...ORIENT BEACH...no hint of recognition on his face. Sure I heard this is a nice beach he bluffed! I asked him if he read about it in the travel book I gave him. "Yes" he said "lets go!" DH (who by the way had on shorts, polo, socks, sunglasses and a hat, didn't notice anything when we initailly hit the beach. He said, "Let's go get a drink at this restaurant down aways." Well, we walked a little while and he finally noticed that there were many topless people. By the time we reached the little restaurant on the beach everyone was totally naked., sunbathing, playing volleyball etc. He was shocked and couldn't even talk! We sat down to get a drink and everyone there was half naked. So I smiled and said so you read the travel book? It was one of the funniest times that I ever remember with him. :earboy2:

My husband really has no clue about the details our upcoming trip, other than we're going to DisneyWorld. Last year on our way to Disneyland, we got stopped at Customs at the airport and they started asking him a bunch of questions (where are you going, where are you staying?). All he could answer is Disneyland. They became a little suspicious and actually pulled him off to the side - it was a little frightening at the time, but now it's funny. I wonder if he'll ask for a few more details before we leave this time?

my dh does most of the calling. we plan together but he is more interested in the dining aspects (hi honey if you're reading this!)

I do have some input on what is going on but for the most part DH does all the planning. I wake up in the morning and say, OK where are we going and what are we doing today dear?

Unfortunately, my husband is pretty involved in the decision making :headache: I never imagined he would call to make reservations, though. Then, we moved into our new house, and our phone provider was on strike-so no phone for a week. He went to work and got a ADR for CRT! :Pinkbounc After reading how difficult it can be to get it, I really thought my DD would have to wait until next trip, but DH came through for us!

I make all of the calls to DD unless there is a hot one (like CRT) then I wake my wife up, and we both call. I like WDW. She likes sleep. She doesn't tell me how to make dinner reservations, I don't tell her how to sleep.

I do ALL of the trip planning - my wife really does not care about the details. Even when I try to involve her - where to eat, what parks, her eyes simply glaze over.

Another man here who does all the vacation planning. I really have to twist my wife's arm to even speak with me for a half hour about which restaurants to make ADRs for etc.

Looks like it might be mostly men planning these trips ;)
