Hi, have read on a thread somewhere that the Wonder is going in for a refit in October, Anybody know about this?
Also what exactly will they do ?
When I use to work on the ships they use to go into Drydock and Basically all the rooms etc were given a makeover, is this the same ?
Look forward to hearing from all.

Yes, we will be on the Wonder in December. Could anyone tell us what they will do to her while she is in Dry dock?

Thanks

I bet they will change the teen place to "The Stack" like on the Magic and make the old teen place into a coffee bar. I would think they would want to make both ships the same. There was also another bar area changed on the Magic last year.

On the 4/4 Wonder cruise the Captain told us that the ship was going in for referbishment in October and that the changes would be the same as they did on the Magic earlier..inother words...the ESPN club goes and the teen hangout will be in the stack...One of the bars will be changed to Diversions and will have more TV's for sporting events...

ARGH!

Diversions is 10 times better than ESPN!

They are allowed during the day and I believe after 8pm it's adult only. Unsure about the time.

Just a Point to Ponder...

If the rumors are true about the magic going to calafornia...
I wonder if they will "upgrade" (for a lack of better words) the Wonder to make people feel better about the situation..

I am hopeing they will at least change the Navagators and the children programming to offer new activities......

The ESPN bars that I have been to are nothing special. Usually over-priced bad food & very expensive drinks. I would not book my cruise based on the ship having an ESPN bar or not.

The Wonder is getting the same changes done to it that the Magic had done last fall.

He is a SPORTS nut... that is addicted to ESPN! So the ammenities at ESPN are not on the mealplan anyway? I know drinks aren't but food?

Well, that is one reason to axe it then I guess!

Over priced bad food... sounds like the Disney and McDonalds concoction they put in at DCA! I'm pretty used to that!

The ESPN place onboard has snacks, no food. All food is included on the cruise no matter where you find it except at Palo's. Diversion has more tvs and it bigger than ESPN.

Goofy4Pluto-- I know where you're coming from!!! We spend a CRAZY amount of money to stay at the boardwalk & it is mainly becuase of the ESPN club there!(meanwhile, that's what HE thinks, I LOVE it at the BW, and it looks like I'm being a martyr by staying there for the club, what a way to get him to spend upwards of $275 a night for 2 weeks!!!sssshhh!) My bf was appalled that I wanted to go during NFL playoffs last year until I reminded him that he could hang out at the club all day & I'd hang at the pool & meet him for lunch & the 49ers game!!! So if I had said- "don't worry, we'll see the superbowl at ESPN" & then it was gone he would have FLIPPED!!!! Thankfully I was able to convince him to go on the cruise with out putting stress on ESPN but I won't be telling him that I know it's gone, when we get there I'll pretend to be suprised!!!;) I have never been to the one on the ship but I love the one at the boardwalk and the food isn't GREAT, but it's ok- like TGI fridays food-- and cute, a chocolate covered brownie is served as a hockey puck, stuff like that! My bf gets a kick out of it. All he really eats at the espn club is a bucket of wings and a pitcher of beer!! I'm sure you won't even have time to watch sports unless it's playoffs or a championship game!! Don't worry & do what I do..... play dumb!!!:teeth:
